I get dressed in a very fancy dark blue mermaid dress accompanied by white heels, gold earrings, and a  diamond necklace.

In the middle of the street or in the supermarket I would stand out by wearing such a thing but in a party as fancy as this I won't stand out at all, I would stand out if I decided to wear jeans and a sweater.

I walk to the car with the click clack of my heels against the floor, my father joins in beside me wearing a tailored suit, the driver, Robert, opens the door for us, I get in, my father follows me, we buckle or seatbelts and the car starts driving towards Buckingham palace.

We get there and a men in a simple suit opens the door for us, there are people everywhere, important people. The prime minister is drinking wine with princess Anne, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer was talking to the Home Secretary, Priti Patel and the Ministry of Justice, Robert Buckland. Everyone was wearing fancy suits or elegant dresses.

The Chief Secretary to the Treasury Steve Barclay came towards us, he and my father shook hands.

"Good evening Mr.Barclay." My father says

"Mr.Holmes." He says in greeting.

"My daughter, Isadora" My father says looking at me.

I shake his hand.

"Good evening Mr.Barclay, it's nice to meet you." He looks slightly shocked.

"I've known you for 7 years and never knew you had a wife, much less a daughter!" He says after letting go of my hand.

Of course he wouldn't have. It's like my father erased every thought of me from his life. As if I didn't exist. I ignore my hurt, however, as I knew my father had an image to keep. An image that was more important than the petty thoughts going through my head.

"My mother died 10 years ago, and I was away in boarding school and college, the topic probably never came up." I state "Now, if you would excuse me Mr.Barclay, I need to go to the restroom."

I leave, bowing my head on the way out.

I walk slowly towards the restroom, making sure not to cry, so as to not get a lecture when I get home.

On my way I see Elizabeth in the end of the corridor talking to an ex-secret agent and head towards her, the secret agent sees me, bows his head to Elizabeth, and lives.

"Hi, Eli." I say sneaking up behind her.

She turns around startled and sees me. She smiles recognizing me even after all this years.

"Little Isa! You've grown so much! I haven't seen you in years. Why didn't you come see me when visiting your father?" She asks me as a passing question but I can see the hurt behind her words.

"I have only been here for a little more then a week and didn't really have the time to visit, this is the first time I've been in London since I started boarding school, I'm sorry I didn't come visit you earlier."

She smiles, happy that I didn't forget her, she knows I'm not lying.

"I'm free tomorrow from 3-4 if you would like to come and catch up" she says.

"That would be great." I say smiling.

I spend the rest of the evening talking to her and some other politicians and secret agents who came to talk to her.

It was quite nice and I came home with a genuine smile on my face.
