All of the knights of Camelot had been rounded up by the mind controled guards. If Morgana was going to be queen then she needed to have them follow her, and not Arthur. All round a bunch of subjects were watching, wondering what was going to  happen.
"Its come to my attention that you don't know what is going on, " Morgana said to the rounded up knights. " I was never Uther's ward for I am his daughter, since my father is dead, Camelot needs a new ruler, " she continued. "Kneel before me and I promise you that I will be far better ruler then he was, and we shall rise and see the dawn of a new era, were this is no more hatred towards magic, " she finished.

While her speech was powerful and impactful, none of the knights trusted her since she had allied herself with Morgause. Who was the one who murdered their king, so their alliance was with the true heir.
"Long live the king, " Leon chatted in response to her words. More soon joined him and angry with their disobedience, Morgana gave her sister a glance. Morgause  nodded and signaled from the guards to fire their weapons. The knights all closed their eyes thinking they were going to die but they soon realized that after hearing the people behind them scream. That they weren't the target, it was the innocent people behind them.

"I stand by my statement, now make your choice and no one else  will have to die, " Morgana stated. The knights were then split in half, as half of them agreed to join Morgana while the other refused. "Better than nothing, take the traitors away, " Morgana ordered. Her demands were met and the knights were taken away by the their once fellow men. While this was happening, Arthur and Merlin were watching from inside the secret tunnels. The two had been up all night trying to come up with a way to get inside, without being seen.

"We need a plan, " Arthur stated. He couldn't stand by and watch his people die. Merlin suddenly had an idea, Morgana still assumed that he was under her control. So no one would stop him from coming in, if it seemed like he had captured the King.
"I have an idea, " Merlin responded. Before Arthur could ask what it was, Merlin's eyes flashed gold and a pair of iron chains and cuffs appeared on Arthur's arms.
"Merlin?" Arthur asked thinking that maybe Merlin was still spelled.
"It has to look like I've captured you, " Merlin said to him. "You have to trust me, " he continued. Arthur thought for a few seconds before he responded. Not out of hesitation but because he was confused.
"I do trust you, " Arthur confirmed.

Merlin grabbed Arthur's sword, and pointed it at his back. This had to look real, so there could be no hesitation from either of them. "Make it look real Merlin, " Arthur said to him.
"Only if you do the same thing you prat, " Merlin responded. He gave Arthur a quick wink before going into character. "Alright move it Pendragon, " he said as he dragged Arthur to the Castle gates. The guards stared at two of them in shock. They hadn't excepted Merlin to actually make it back.
"I demand that you release me!" Arthur yelled playing along. The restraints were magic so he couldn't escape unless Merlin removed them, which made the scene look more convincing.

"Silence princey you have no authority here, my only duty is to the queen, " Merlin responded. Arthur had to had it to him, he was very good at deceiving others, he just hoped that they would be able to fool Morgana.
"Ah Merlin the queen and Lady Morgause have been expecting you, follow us, " the mind controlled guards said opening the castle gates. They escorted the two to the throne room, and Merlin made Arthur kneel infront of Morgana.
"Merlin welcome back I was beginning to worry for you " Morgana said standing up form the throne.

"I've been busy milady, " Merlin answered and forced himself to swallow the bile in his throat when she kissed him on the cheek. Arthur glared at Morgana with pure jealousy, how dare that wicked woman kiss his Merlin.
"I can see that welcome dear brother, I've been expecting you, " Morgana said to him. Arthur was silent before he answered, he had to know why she was doing this. She had been there for him, for as long as he could remember.
"What happened to you Morgana?  I thought we were friends, " he questioned.

"As I did I, but my sister helped me see that you were alot more like our father then you think, " She responded.
"So are you, " Arthur fired back. She couldn't see it but her hatred of Uther had turned her into him.
"I will have no more of this, and I am going to enjoy watched you die," Morgana said then turned her gaze to Merlin. "He stands in the way of our victory, prove your love to me Merlin and kill him, " she ordered. Merlin took Arthur's sword and raised over his head, it looked like he was going to strike but then his eyes flashed gold. The restraints on Arthur's wrists disappeared and he grabbed his sword from Merlin.

"Impossible how could you have broken the spell?" Morgause asked taking out her own sword to fight him. While Morgana stood speechless at the sight of Merlin now being free.
"I guess you don't understand love witch, " Arthur responded. Both women were disgusted when they realized what he meant.
"You love another man, that is sick, men don't fall in love, " Morgause commented.
"That's where you're wrong, and it's why your spell failed, " Arthur responded.
"You made my sister lose her lover and I will kill you for it!" Morgause yelled.
