Penelope and Friday spent the entire week secretly working on something.

Penelope had stolen a fair amount of vibranium from her fathers personal stash and began making something she would use in the future.

She made the decision not to use her creation until her child was at least in pre-school, and no sooner. It would be too dangerous of a situation to involve such a young child in.

When Penelope finished, she placed it in a silver case before taking it to her room and putting it in her closet. She made her way over to her bed and sat down, sighing.

She knew she needed to go back to school, or at least see Peter again. It had been two weeks, and she had rarely picked up her phone, but she knew she had a lot of texts and missed calls from him. They both missed each other a lot, but after the bomb that was dropped on him last time, she didn't know if she could face him again.

What if he hated her? What if he didn't accept the fact that his girlfriend was pregnant and didn't tell him? What if he wanted to break up with her?

Penelope shook those thoughts from her head, making up her mind. She went to her dresser and pulled out one of his hoodies that had just been washed, as she had been wearing it for the majority of the two weeks. She slipped that on with a pair of jeans and picked her phone up, putting it in her back pocket before leaving her room and shutting the metal door behind her.

"Friday, tell dad I'm going to see Peter, please." She called out to the AI.

Of course, Miss Penelope.

Penelope nodded and made her way through the elevator and out the main doors of the tower, pulling her hood over her head as the August air hit her skin, sending a slight shiver through her.

She made her way through the crowd of people, not drawing much attention to herself, thankfully. When she came to Peter's apartment complex, she stopped and sighed before continuing.

She reached his apartment door and knocked, hesitantly. A moment later she heard a few crashes from inside before she was greeted by May.

"Penelope! Oh, it's so good to see you, dear!" She exclaimed and the young girl offered her a small smile. May did not seem surprised when she saw the bump that was slightly visible, even through the hoodie. It was understandable that it could be seen, as Penelope was six months into the pregnancy. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Yeah, actually. I came to speak with Peter."

As if on cue, Peter exited his room, freezing in place as he saw her at the door. May cleared her throat, obviously a little unsure as to what she should do. "I'm going to go finish dinner while you two catch up."

Peter jerks his head towards his door and turns, gesturing for her to follow him. Penelope follows, although hesitantly, worry building in her chest as he shuts the door behind them. She sits on the edge of his bed and he leans against the wall.

"You're wearing my hoodie," he comments.

"You're wearing mine," she let out a breathy laugh. It was true, he had on one of his favorite hoodies of hers. It was blue with a small sunflower where some shirts would have a pocket.

Penelope looked down at her hands before speaking again. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to find out that way. I shouldn't have run out l-like that, I sh-shoul-"

She was cut off when Peter hooked a finger under her chin, lifting her head so her eyes met his. "Hey, hey listen to me."

He paused, waiting until she gave a small nod of her head before continuing. "It's alright. I don't care that you hadn't told me yet. I'm not mad at you, I'm worried for you. I want you to know I'm here for you every step of the way."

Penelope smiled slightly and he sat down next to her, engulfing her in a hug. She let out a breathless laugh, "I missed you."

He pulled back and looked at her again. "I missed you too. And I want you to know, you can tell me anything, anytime."

Her smile grew, "Yeah, I know."

Peter looked down and placed a hand on her stomach. "Do you know the gender yet?"

"It's a girl."  Penelope had a huge grin on her face, this conversation going better than she could have ever expected. Her grin shrunk slightly as she asked her next question. "Uh- what's today's date?"

"August 19th, why?"

"I missed your birthday!" She lets out a groan and flops back on his bed. Penelope groans again, regretting doing that with the extra weight she was carrying. "I got you a gift a few months ago, I bring it next time I see you."

He chuckled and laid next to her on his side, propping his head up on his hand. "It's fine, Pen."

She turned to look at him and their eyes met again, settling into a comfortable silence until she broke it. "What happened to your glasses?"

"My glasses?"

"Yeah, Peter. Your glasses. You aren't wearing them."

"I got contacts." He lied, hoping she would buy it.

Penelope squinted, studying his eyes. She could tell that he wasn't wearing contacts, but it she dropped it with a shrug of her shoulders.

They both jumped up to a sitting positionwhen there was a knock at the door, followed by May opening it. "So I uh, made dinner, but I also burned it." She let out a nervous laugh. "How do you guys feel about pizza?"

"Pizza sounds great, May." Penelope reassured her.
