I ran to Skylar as soon as I got my bag out of my car.
"Woah! Woman did you drink coffee this morning?" She said noticing how wide my eyes were the entire time I ran towards her.
"Noo! But you'll never guess what happened yesterday!" I said grabbing her shoulders.
"Ow! What!?" She asked trying to pull my hands off her.
I finally let go of her and said, "Blake showed up at my house and I'm meeting him later this evening at the Journal."
"Wait" she stopping and turning towards me, "you're excited?" She asked with a confused yet amused expression on her face.
"I'm not excited, I just think it's weird because he's just out of it. He's weird." I said putting emphasizes on the last 'he'.
"How, if you never talk to him?" She said still confused.
"Well, I don't know he's always talking about weird things like controlling people and dreams and stuff, I don't know!" I explained putting my hands up in surrender. I was sure everyone was looking towards me like I was a total lunatic but at that point I didn't care. The guy always found a loophole through every question I asked, but not today, he was going to tell me everything. We walked to art class and found that
Mr. Mysterious was already sat at the table. What? Mr. Always Late was early? The people that gave me weird looks weren't wrong I was going crazy! I was seeing things!
"Hey, what are some symptoms of schizophrenia?" I asked Skylar pulling her back before she could fully enter the classroom.
"Umm, hallucinations, delusions, thought disorders, movement disorders. Why?" She said thinking deeply.
"I think I'm hallucinating Mr. Mysterious already being in class." I said sounding like I was ready to hyperventilate.
She obviously didn't get the clue because she ignored everything of what I said except his nickname.
"Aww look, you already gave him a cute yet daring nickname! How cute." She said smiling with amusement.
"You're horrible." I said shooting daggers at her.
"Yeah, as much as I'd love to talk about how much I inherited from my mom, we got to get ready for class." She said walking in and taking her seat.
Blake looked at her and said something to her that I couldn't hear over everyone in the hallway and in the room. She responded to him and looked in my direction gesturing towards me, he immediately turned and avoided eye contact... Like always. I took a deep breathe and walked to my seat and waited for the bell to ring. Skylar seemed amused seeing me over think and anxious.
"I still think that you calling him a nickname is cute." She said taking out a piece of paper and pen.
"What part? And what are you doing anyways?" I asked.
"All of it. And I'm writing something down so I won't forget." She said finishing up her writing and folding it.
"Uh-huh." I said not believing her.
I looked down in my bag and she reached across my spot on the table and passed the piece of paper towards Blake.
I turned to her with my jaw on the floor, "Writing something down so you won't remember?" I asked rhetorically.
"Yes, he's going to remind me." She said matter-of-factly.
"Ha. Ha. Ha. Funny." I said.
I moved onto working on my mythical creature project..
