The cracks were getting worse.

Currently you didn't know what to think, slowly but surely they were getting larger in size. You were actually getting a bit worried, but you would never say that out loud for Alucard to hear. Although, he might've noticed already since he hardly let you do anything.

"He's treating me like a glass doll, even though I'm the farthest thing from it," You said while stretching your limbs out. Since you weren't allowed to do anything, you decided to embrace your lazy side.

"To be honest I've haven't been able to relax like this ever since I was a child. What should I do?" You whispered to yourself. You looked up to your bedroom ceiling to see the blood red butterflies flying around. Some butterflies took the opportunity to land on you fingers when you raised your hand.

When you actually decided to work instead of laze around, you made a significant amount of progress on the butterflies. You could see and hear through the them; their new natural instict is to fly towards danger so a lot of them in one area would indicate the danger level. On top of that, the butterflies even glowed when danger was nearby. They were so successful that you had already managed to send some around the continent. It wouldn't be long before you started getting some nformation.

"What else should I add to you guys, hmm?" You said while gently putting the butterflies on your hand to your face. Their light touches reminded you of soft butterflies kisses, the ones you would annoy Alucard with. "Maybe carnivorous butterflies? Or posion-"

Suddenly you were interrupted by a huge part of swarm flying through the balcony. The calm atmosphere immediately turned into a tense one as you immediately got up, ran to the balcony, and watched the butterflies as they entered the forest.

You were in absolute panic mode. The butterflies were only familiar with you and Alucard. The only reason some of them would leave without you order was if one of you were in trouble, and you were fine, which meant Alucard wasn't. You quickly  jumped from the balcony and landed gracefully on the ground, immediately feeling the cold grass between your toes. You touched your hands to the ground making a dirt platform that you could stand on. You touched the platform again, causing it to move on its own. The ground and trees basically crumbled and fell around you while you skated through the forest.

You were following the butterflies just fine until they suddenly dispersed. You sighed and rubbed your temples, the danger was already gone. "I mean, it's understandable, Alucard is strong...why was I so worried when I know he can defend himself already?" You questioned yourself. Though, you immediately dismissed the thought to focus on the task at hand. You were already on your way, you might as well see what happened.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Alucard was definitely being watched.

The flow of the water. The soft footsteps in the snow. The pull of the string on a bow.

He could hear everything. While feigning getting water, he quickly picked up a rock from the bottom of the river and looked around for a second. In an instant, he threw the rock and used his powers to basically teleport and take out the other attacker.

"Please," The woman said under Alucard's grasp, taken aback by his speed.

"I will not be hunted," Alucard said while pulling his hand back, ready to strike at any moment.

"We are not hunting you. You are the Alucard," The woman said.

"The what?" Alucard responded a bit confused. The Alucard? Like his name was a type of title? He could already picture you in the back of his head laughing at the silly mix up.

"We need your help,"

"With an arrow in my back?"

"He was going to cover me, I was going to come out to talk to you,"

"Really?" Alucard said sarcastically and a little suspicious.

"We have come a long way. Please- I need to know if he's alright," The woman said, referring to the other attacker. She raised her hands to show no harm.

"If I wanted him dead, I would've aimed higher. If he wants to continue living he should stop right there," Alucard said while slightly showing his fangs.

"Please leave her alone. You are the Alucard and we do need your help," A man said while running up, gasping for air. The rock Alucard threw hit him right in the chest, making it hard to maintain his breath.

"The Alucard?" Alucard heard a familiar chuckle. He glanced to the side to see you jump off a platform and walk towards his view. He was glad you were here, even though he didn't know how you knew he was in danger or where he was.

"I am not the "the" anything," Alucard said while getting up from the woman. You quickly made your way to him to inspect him.

"Are you alright? Who are these people?" You said while looking him over. He looked fine to you but you wanted to make sure.

"I'm fine, who are you?" Alucard said while slightly steeping in front of you holding an arm to make a slight barrier between you and the attackers.

"There you go treating me like I'm delicate again. I'm fine, now answer him," You said to Alucard, slightly pushing his arm out the way, then directed your attention to the duo.

The woman looked over the man and then introduced themselves, "I'm Sumi, this is Taka. We hunt vampires-"

"-Not you, real vampires. The pursuit of our target became the pursuit of the castle. We only discovered yesterday that you live in it,"

"Yesterday? I didn't sense anything," You said bewildered. How did you not notice people lurking around, especially with your butterflies?

"I didn't either, you're better than I thought," Alucard said while crossing his arms.

"Who are you?" Sumi asked while looking in your direction. You a little surprised with the sudden attention.

"My names Y/n, that's all you need to know," You said, giving them limited information. You don't know what it was, but these outsiders were giving you a bad feeling.
