Irritated. If there was one word to describe Choi Beomgyu at the moment, that's what it would be.

The male was walking back home, after taking a spontaneous walk to calm himself down. The strange thing was he didn't know why he felt so angry.

He just knows his mood plummeted after what happened earlier.

He lives with his beloved mate, Hueningkai, in their shared apartment. They have been together for almost a year, and Beomgyu trusts their other completely and vice versa. So, it was no issue when Hueningkai wanted to invite a close friend over.

So, Beomgyu thought.

Beomgyu was being very quiet that day, as he woke up feeling easily irritable, but when the other got there, he might as well have been put on mute. Hueningkai had invited his best friend, and Beomgyu's acquaintance, Soobin. He was an alpha, like Beomgyu, but was mated himself, so Beomgyu didn't worry much.

However, this day Beomgyu noticed Soobin being very touchy with his omega.

He kept quiet, as he knew he was probably overreacting, but it was slowly agitating him more and more. When Soobin excused himself to take a phone call, Hueningkai suddenly went over to his boyfriend, the first time since Soobin arrived.

"Babe, your scent is getting sour. What's wrong, hm?" Hueningkai asked softly, not knowing what could've upset the alpha so quickly.

"I didn't notice, I'll take something cover it. It's just one of those days, I guess." The older brushed it off as he had been getting peeved at pretty much everything today, well except Hueningkai.

Soobin came back explaining he had something to take care of, and that he would try to visit later. When he left he, he went up and gave Hueningkai a big hug, and that was when Beomgyu knew he had to leave and get air. He was this close to snapping at Soobin for such an illogical reason, when they always were close to each other.

Right before Soobin turned to leave, the door was closed quite harshly, and Beomgyu was gone. Hueningkai was left concerned, as he knew something was wrong, Beomgyu just didn't tell him.

So here Beomgyu was coming back an hour later, after storming out. He did calm down, but not much. Now he was frustrated and disappointed in himself. Of course Soobin was touchy, but that's who he was and Beomgyu never snapped like that. At least, he didn't say anything that he would've regretted, but he still felt like he messed up. He felt bad about how he might've made his boyfriend feel when he just up and left like that. He probably should have just told Kai what was wrong. Besides, all he wanted right now was to be with Hueningkai.

So, he went right back home after taking a breather at the park. Surprisingly, he didn't have any calls from Hueningkai or messages telling him to come back home.

At home, Hueningkai had a pretty obvious guess at what was happening. He wanted to give Beomgyu some space and for him to prepare himself as well. So he waited on the sofa for his hyung to come back home. It was a shock for Beomgyu to come home and see Hueningkai sitting there, looking at the doorway, waiting for him. Especially as he had stormed off like that, Beomgyu thought he would be more confused or mad. But instead he greeted him with a sweet and caring tone.
