2. Brett Talbot

(this was requested by @sunlight62 so i hope this is good )

I was currently sitting on the bleachers, watching Devenford Prep play against another school. My friend Hayden from Beacon Hills had tagged along so i wasn't alone

The ball was flying across the field every second, the sound of the ball smacking the nets of the sticks and the sweaty bodies ran past eachother, but only one stuck out to me the most.

Number 28. Brett Talbot.

Me and the Lacrosse captain, so cliche but i was in love with him. This boy meant the world to me and i couldn't ask for anyone else.

The ticking of the clock started to quicken, worry panged through me as the ball landed in Bretts net. He didn't hesitate to start running down the field, mud flicking from his heels with every step.

I clutched onto Hayden's arm while trying to hold onto a scream, she didn't seem to care as she knew she would heal.

The green jersey quickly approached the goalies post, brining the stick behind him to get ready to shoot.

I clenched my eyes shut, waiting for the moment were everyone was cheering and jumping. It didn't come.

Opening my eyes i saw Brett standing still on the field, he wouldn't move as the herd of blue jerseys approached him. Worry flooded through my body, he was going to get hurt.

"Brett! Run baby run!" i yelled, his head snapped towards me like something hit him. He saw the crowd running towards him and immediately headed towards the net once more.

And with that, he scored.

I let out a screech from the top of my lungs, Hayden jumping up and down and i ran onto the field.

Brett welcomed me with open arms, "you did it, i'm so proud of you" i said snuggling my face into his neck

"Did you ever doubt me?" he replied

*Back at home*

Brett had stayed round mine tonight as my parents were out, we decided it would be best to cuddle and watch netflix after the night he'd just had.

"I'll be back, i'm gonna get changed" i said picking up my Pj's and headed for the bathroom

Calloused hands came around my waist "it's nothing i haven't seen before" Brett said which a smirk plastering his face.

"Well" i started "tonight's for cuddling only so you have to wait" i whispered  into his ear beside the closing the bathroom door.

I cleaned myself up and chucked on my clothes. Walking out the bathroom, i saw Brett lying on the bed in grey joggers.

"hey beautiful" he said with a raspy voice

"hey Talbot" i replied, pulling the covers over us and resting my head on his chest.

My head moved up and down in time with his breathing as his hands ran their way through my hair. Our heartbeats in sync.

I knew Brett was my mate but we hadn't gotten to the part where he marks me, i wasn't ready. No. I was scared to commit even though i knew i wanted it. But that was for another time.

"i love you Brett Talbot" i whispered

"i love you too Y/N Y/L/N" he replied

And with that, we both fell asleep in each others arms
