Poem #17 - The Old Flame

My ex-crush is a beautiful girl and she talks with love and affection.

Her voice covered my heart with infatuation.

The rush of feelings were so intense.

So many questions and suspense.

I felt the pressure even though there was no hot air.

I had this thought. Did she still care?

I love like an Aquarius and she loves like a Scorpio.

I confessed and the rejection didn't lead me to hate and sorrow.

I chose to burn that bridge because I couldn't stay.

The romance was gone, but the platonic love remained anyway.
