I never forgot the first time I saw you
seated there before me in a plain gray sketchered clothe, new well-polished shoes on
I deciphered the secrecy of the way you looked people in the eyes shyly,
you need not hide your beauty
I caught you, even if your hair fumbled against your cheeks in a attempt to falsely cower from the world.
Such features it took me long to snap out of my day dream, I was a loss for words.
Your presence was like light scratches on a glossy paper, visible but still there.
Retreating countless times thinking I would succeed stopping my own stare.
I was pushing and pulling my heart within my ribcage, arguing what to do with this feeling.
But to no avail, my heart couldn't
Take the distance from you. It was reeling.
You were steps close but painfully so far.
So, I leaned on the magic of relationship,
How was I that much of a coward to say, "hello, I like your friend."? Would it be more than just a frienship? And I thought your heart-warming laugh tingled my insides and said, " Her? Oh say, let me drink on that, dear stranger. "
And everyday when you looked up at my height so terribly tall,
I couldn't believe how clueless you were to people oddly coming to you, like troubled souls
And from there on, I made up my mind, and recalled the way your kindness uplift my abstract moods and your down to earth smile that made my world spin in gold,I whispered to myself, "Soon, this girl is sold."
And I whispered to myself, "Soon, This girl is mine to own."
