𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 🖇 𝙣𝙘𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢

22| The break up

In Sumi's world, the grass was greener, the sky was prettier, the flowers bloomed more brilliantly and she imagined a cute dog chasing a butterfly, right after it had sit on it's nose.

But today, it was different, the grass was normal so was the sky and the flowers did the same photosynthesis as they always would and oh the dog is fucking dead. 

Donghyuck broke up with her, it was out of the blue, so random, so casual as if he had been preparing himself for that very moment. 

'I'm sorry Sumi, I just don't think we should go on with this relationship anymore' 

It had been a few weeks after the breakup, and Sumi still heard that very line over and over again, the tension in their rooms had risen and they didn't do the whole 'meet up for breakfast' thing as much as they used to, Sumi had dated many guys in the past, but it would always be her who would initiate a break up, and she didn't take being turned down so well. 

"Sumi, get up please!!"  Ae Ra shakes her up, trying to get her to just respond. 

Sumi jerks the blanket off her face, her eyes were blood shot and so were her cheeks and nose, the same lips she used to smile were now in a pout. 

"I didn't even like him, you know" Sumi says, sniffing, she was obviously lying to herself, she was so sure of her feelings, she was just so sure that their relationship would be long term. 

Ae Ra sighs, sitting next to her, engulfing her in a hug, rubbing at her back, this was all that took Sumi to start to cry and Ae Ra's back rubs grew more and more vigorous. 

"he confessed to me first, by the way" Sumi adds, as she remembers the scene so vividly. 

It was just another hang out to the city high park, Donghyuck placed his cola to the side and placed his arms on either sides of her waist. 

"I like you, and you have to like me back" 

"I don't even like you"

"That's a lie, you kissed me back" 

"I hate him so much, Ae Ra, he wouldn't tell me why and now you're asking me to breath the same air as him and be in the same perimeter as him?" Sumi says, her sadness already manifesting in anger. 

"what sick bitch doesn't tell why he wants to breakup?" 

Ae Ra could just stare at the girl in front of her, she had never seen her this way, Sumi was a laid back, happy girl, with anger issues but we can overlook that. 

"this whole thing was a mistake, it was good while it lasted" Sumi says, kicking everyone's  clothes which were ironically on the floor out of her way. 

"and why is the room so messy!" 

Donghyuck sighs, proceeding to take a sip from his coffee, which he stopped drinking when he heard his girlfriend, wait, ex-girlfriend's voice through the connecting door, Sumi wasn't exactly being quiet, and why would she be? 

"why'd you do it?" Jeno asks, placing his hand on donghyuck's shoulder. 

Donghyuck's eyes brimmed with tears, "I..I don't know" he says, taking his final sip of coffee and walking out.

Eun Ae knew exactly what she wanted, she did this thing where she fantasized the fruit of her hard work. 

She was certain she'd be the CEO of some hot company, she'd be elected as School president, she'd get into university she wanted, she'd get a part time here and there and have the most brightest, glass shined house ever and if she had some time, she'll find a boyfriend.
