"are you guys checking names of the voters?" Sumi asks.
"hell no!!" both In Na and Ae Ra say, almost immediately
The conference room was big, cold and there was lots of space, it was usually a place for the teachers to have official meetings, but it was given to the girls along with a few other people to count the thousands of votes.
"I feel so bad for Eun Ae, her sleepless hours, practicing, the volunteering, all of it, just" In Na shrugs, "gone"
"come on, we're only half way through, she has a chance!" Ae Ra backs up, giving a nudge at her feet.
"yeah but, it would make her feel like shit" Sumi says, continuously tallying the votes, crushing then throwing the paper in the trash.
"why?"
"well, she is probably beating herself up as we speak, and even if she makes the post, she'll feel undeserving" Sumi says, shrugging her shoulders, being best friends with Eun Ae since year 1, left all of them as an open book for each other.
"hm, she'd probably convince herself it was pity votes" Ae Ra finishes.
"I think she much rather not get a position" In Na says.
there was silence, rustling of papers, pens scratching the pages and crushing of the paper, the cold travelled through their veins.
"but, she would also look at this positively, a second chance, a chance to prove herself" Sumi says, contradicting her starting statement.
"babe, please"
"what? its possible!"
"girls! 20 minutes left!" Mr.Doyoung says as he aggressively knocks at the door.
In Na looks into the box and there were fairly few left, "pick up your speed, almost there!"
just then Sumi let out the biggest gasp, "guys look!" she says as she shows the piece of paper to them.
"god Sumi, yes Eun Ae got the vote" In Na says, scoffing
"what a bitch Sumi, come on" Ae Ra says, clicking her tongue.
"no ,look at the name!"
They lean in to see 'K.Mina' on the paper
"no way" In Na and Sumi shared the same expression.
"there's a lot of Mina(s) in school, Kang Mina would die before voting for Eun Ae" Ae Ra says
"theres a heart on the 'i' "
"no, not possible" Ae Ra says, quickly tallying and clearing the table up
"its definitely her, I'll prove it" Sumi says, rolling her eyes, getting her phone out to take a picture.
"no"
"and if i prove you wrong?"
"your end of semester biology assignment, ill do it" Ae Ra says, she was so certain too, Mina and Eun Ae's hatred has been in action as far she can remember, there was no way she would even accidentally vote for Eun Ae.
"and english" Sumi adds, folding her arms.
"deal"

Everybody was racing, to get to home of course, half of them didnt even care about the damn election, I mean, why would they?
especially, if youve had a long day at school, or just leave the hell abiding residence called school, even you would rush out, and they could just come back the next day and ask.
