It was almost exam season, like a breeze, senior year was almost finished, students were applying to universities and colleges.
Career Counselling started every week, they went through everyones reports and grades and gave a list of universities that would accept them according to so far grades.
Good students obviously got many options and those who didn't were given a second chance with finals coming up.
Yongsan High was partly consisting of independant students, those with loans, without parents, with parents and those who lived in YS's dormitories, so every year, the nightmare played out for the dreamies and girls.
Their parents visit, by the school's verdict, Principle Seo believed bringing the relatives down before exams may relieve stress of not seeing them for ages and further motivating them, but the main stress was the parents for a few of them.
So when the dorm code beeped, theyd know its one of their parents.
Sumi and Ae Ra knew none of their families would show up, Ae Ra having a bad relationship with her parents and Sumi's, well, no longer alive, so theyd left somewhere far together, probably some visiting island near the city? or the beach?
"Mom!" In Na exclaimed first, engulfing the woman immediately
Eun Ae smiles at this adorable interaction, she wished she had a relationship as such with her mother.
"hello dear Eun Ae! how have you been doing?" In Na's mother asks, hugging her too.
"Im doing very well, and you?"
In Na's mom smiles in return, thats all, "very well, we're gonna go downstairs at the orientation, it lasts only a few minutes then everyone leaves so you can have In Na back" She says jokingly.
Eun Ae laughs a little, nodding at her.
Just then another beep could be heard, indicating Eun Ae's mom was here, at this she sighed silently.
"Eun Ae" was all she said, upon seeing her daughter after ages, her name.
"mom"
As In Na exchanged greeting too with her mom, they excused themselves leaving only Eun Ae and her mother in the room.
"who is this?" Mrs.Jung asks, pointing at the girl who sat by the dining table.
"oh this is Lei Mei, she's Chenle's uh friend"
"what do you study Lei Mei?" She asks, and the said girl clears her throat, "I actually dont study in Yongsan High"
"then what are you doing in Yongsan dorms?"
"well, Im staying here for a while, thats all" Lei Mei answers, she feels this uncomfortable air surround them.
"so what do you study in your free time?"
Eun Ae internally groans at her mother's interrogative tone.
"I study in China not here so I dont really-"
"then what're you doing here in Korea? you should rush back"
"to study?" Lei Mei asks, totally dumbfounded.
Mrs.Jung scoffs in disbelief, "you're leeching off my daughter's-"
"mom, stop, please" Eun Ae says, bowing in guilt at Lei Mei and taking her mom outside.
"Do you have to make everyone uncomfortable?"
Mrs.Jung scoffs once again, "people who dont study, dont make it in life, she needs some motivation"
