Chapter 4

Pagkauwi ko sa bahay, agad akong inulan ng mga tanong ni Daddy kung bakit ang tagal kong naka uwi.  6 pm pa nga lang eh.

"Go upstairs. Mag bihis ka na may pupuntahan tayo." aniya.

Sinunod ko nalang at umakyat na sa kwarto ko. I found Mom preparing a dress for me.

"Oh? You're here na pala. Maligo ka na at mag bihis." aniya.

Again, sumunod na naman ako.

They didn't told me na may pupuntahan pala kami ngayon. Edi sana umuwi ako ng maaga diba? Some parents are literary confusing.

"Mommy, sino ba kikitain natin ngayon?" I asked while she's fixing my hair.

Everytime there's an event or celebration that we'll attend, she has always been the one who's preparing for my hair and what I will wear. Sometimes I feel like I'm a doll.

"Mmm... The Parks. We'll have a dinner with them. Your friends with their eldest son, right? Si Sunghoon."

My eyes widened at tinignan ang reflection ni Mommy sa mirror. She laughed at my reaction.

"Oh, why? That dinner will be the start our friendship with them,Selle."

"Mommy naman..." my shoulders collapsed.

Hindi pa makakasama mamaya sina Ate at Kuya dahil busy sila sa midterms nila. How the hell I'm gonna survive this? 

I'm wearing a off shoulder white dress that stops on my knees and hugged my body tightly. I'm not that tall compare to my sister and to Mom but I still have the body.

My hair were free although Mommy made some little strands from both sides of my head and attached them together. And made a see through bangs. I also wore a silver necklace that has a diamond shaped pendant. And an earings that has a silver gem.

"Very beautiful, my daughter." Mommy complemented me.

I smiled.

They might control me sometimes but still I'm the most spoiled among me and siblings. And also, they're not that hard on me. Daddy's patience is just really short.

We arrived at the restaurant and a crew immediately guide us to the VIP room.

I started rubbing my thumb against my fingers, kinakabahan ako. And I don't know why! I met many and different family friends already and I was feeling fine and confident. Ngayon lang ako kinakabahan, and I hate to admit but maybe because it's Sunghoon's family? Because alam ko na nandito siya?

What's with him ba?! 

"Nico, Rachel!" His Dad greeted.

I saw Mommy and Ms. Mina made a beso to each other.

"Good evening po." I politely said.

"Your daughter is so lovely, Chel!" Ms. Mina said.

She approached me and I can't help but to be star struck. I saw her young pictures in the internet, and she was very beautiful. Until now! Parang walang pinagbago.

She hugged me and I returned the gesture.

"You're also very beautiful din po."

She let go of the hug first and cupped my face. She was smiling and turned her head to Mommy.

"I can't wait Yeji to be big already." she stated, and the adults laughed.

"My, I'm already 15. Malaki na ako."

Tumingin ako sa nag salita. Katabi niya si Sunghoon na nakatingin sa akin, nakangiti pa ng parang loko.

I really can't with him. Even though he's not doing anything, I feel like he's teasing me.
