Chapter 17

We sat on a table and ordered a drink. Iced coffee sa akin sa kanya naman juice lang.

We calmed ourselves na rin kanina kaya heto at puro maga mata namin. But he still look good. His visuals are insane.

"I'm going to melt, Selle." He joked.

I just playfully rolled my eyes and took a sip on my coffee. He watched me naman kaya I decided to act cute. He laughed and took a picture of me.

"Don't post it, maga mata ko!" reklamo ko but he didn't listened.

We just talked about random things. I also told him what happened in the past and he said sorry again.

"Stop saying sorry, okay? Ang bait mo naman ata dyan." I joked.

"Oh! Malapit ko nang makalimutan." I looked at him and raised a brow. "You know, my competition next next week... it's going to be my last." He said.

I gapsed. I don't know what to say so I just stayed silent. He was smiling but I can see pain in his eyes.

"I've been doing figure skating since I'm a kid, and now I'm stepping down!"  He laughed bitterly.

"Why?"

He shrugged his shoulders and at the same time pouted and raised both of his brows.

"To focus on studies, especially that we're going to be college already. I know that I can pursue figure skating until my age is already over on the limit. But I want to experience another things, a new chapter in my life." He said.

I stood up from my seat and hugged him from his back.

"I'm going to support you whatever your decision is." I said and he kissed my arms that are wrapped on his neck.

Leaving something or someone that you have and love for so long hurts. Waking up without it can make you feel empty and makes you think that your day is incomplete. But if we look at the bright side, we can start a new chapter. We can do other things that we didn't got to do. We can explore more and learn.

Bidding goodbye is not always sad, sometimes it means we are ready to take another adventure that will help us to grow more.

Weeks passed and today is Sunghoon's last competition. I sat on the bleachers beside Yeji and his parents.

Even though I'm not one of the competitors, I feel nervous. Especially when I saw Sunghoon warming up.

I waved my hands with a smile and when he saw me, he smiled widely.

"Goodluck," I mouthed.

"Thank you," he mouthed back.

I can see on my peripheral vision that Yeji and his parents glanced at me. I blushed, nahiya ako.

"Ligawan stage palang kayo, Ate, pero ang sweet niyo." Yeji whispered, mahina lang akong tumawa.

The competition started and they are so good. I always half-closed my eyes everytime they do a stunt, nakakakaba. Kasali rin si Hana dito kaya when she performed I took a small clip and posted it on my story in instagram.

I sat properly when it was Sunghoon's turn. I took pictures of him and short clips using my camera. I tried my best to capture everytime he'll do a stunt and I successfully took it naman.
