I sighed as I pulled the signs posted on my locker off. People were so immature in high school. I sighed and opened my locker and grabbed my bag. I walked out of school down the road. I placed my headphones over my ears and listened to 'Something Different' by Godsmack.

I didn't really have a destination, I just walked. It was nice to not have paper balls be thrown at you from across the room or having spit balls pelting you. Soon I came to the old railroad tracks. I got on the rail and started walking again until I came to the edge of the woods. I then followed a path into the woods.

I found the path a while ago. It was overgrown with a lot of weeds and small bushes so I cleared it and found it led to a small pond. Ever since then I always came here after school, after a fight at home, anytime really. My mother didn't care when I came home anyway so why even bother I always said.

I sat down on a fallen tree and took my sketch book out of my bag. I searched through my bag but couldn't find my pencil. I scratched my head and giggled when I found my pencil tucked behind my ear where I always had it.

I began drawing. It looked like a person but his face was deformed. He wore a hoody and had a smile carved into his face. His eyes were rimmed in black forever staring unable to blink. I had a dream and saw him in it once. His skin was a ghostly white and his hair was a charred black color.

I shook my head and noticed it was getting dark. I checked my phone to find it was 6. I sighed. I was supposed to cook dinner tonight. Mother is going to kill me. I put my stuff away then picked up my bag flinging one of the straps over my shoulder then started walking home.

I hit the sidewalk right as it turned completely dark and the street lamps flickered on. I just kept walking, 'Gone Forever' by the Offspring blasting in my ears. All of a sudden my music cut off. I looked at my mp3 and saw the battery symbol flashing and cursed.

"Damn, low battery..." I mumbled in my naturally soft and gentle voice.

I powered it down and shoved it in my jacket pocket as my headphones hung around my neck. I pulled my hat down more so it covered my ears and continued walking with my hands in my pockets.

It was peaceful so I was happy about that. I still had a ways to walk and was only just passing the school. I heard a twig snap and I sighed. I thought it was one of my many bullies but when I turned around I was surprised to see someone with a white hoody on and black dress pants. The hood was over their head so I couldn't see their face. Their hands were in their hoody pockets as they stood under the streetlight two from me.

He just stood there, not moving or saying anything. I mimicked him as I stood there. I got tired of the silence and sighed.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

He still stood there not moving.

"Don't answer then, I guess you're just like all those stupid bullies..." I mumbled to myself.

I turned around and started walking again and I heard him follow me. He wasn't being very quiet so I knew he was doing it purposely, probably to freak me out. I growled lowly then turned around.

"What is with you, you creep?" I asked him as I glared.

I gasped at him seeing his hood down. He looked exactly like the guy in my dream, the same one I had drawn. His left hand was behind his back and I got into a fighting position. He moved his hand to show my sketch book turned to the page I drew him on.

"This is a good picture of me... You have some talent...Kai..." he said in a deep voice.

My eyes narrowed at him.
