***Thalia's POV***
There was that boy again. Sitting alone on the park bench scribbling something into a leather-back journal. I studied his face carefully, trying to pick out the smallest details.
I didn't notice him staring at me with those beautiful blue eyes of his until my mind snapped back into reality. I quickly looked away and blood rushed to my cheeks.
I heard the boy giggle. I looked back at him, and he was still staring at me with a friendly smile.
The boy waved me over and patted the empty space next to him.
I shyly walked over to the bench where the boy sat, and took the seat next to him.
His smile grew a bit, and his eyes sparkled.
"Uh, hey. Im Thalia, Thalia Redwood." I introduced, holding my hand out.
"Nice to meet you Thalia Redwood. Im Patrick, Patrick Stump." The boy replied, taking my hand and giving it a shake.
"So, what are you doing?" I asked, looking over at his journal.
"Oh, i was just writing lyrics. Im kind of a songwriter." Patrick explained, flipping through the pages.
"Really? Thats so cool!" I exclaimed, smiling at him.
"Well, a lot of kids at school think i'm lame because it's all i do. Sometimes the 10th graders call me a whole bunch of mean names and stuff like that." Patrick said with a sad smile, putting his journal down.
"Don't be afraid to do what you love! If this is something that makes you happy, keep doing it." I told him, patting him on the back.
Patrick's face seemed to light up like the sun's bright rays.
"Thanks Thalia. Hey, don't we both go to the same school? Maybe i'll see you tomorrow!" He said excitedly.
"Of course! See you tomorrow then."
I giggled, beginning to walk away.
I really liked this boy. I wonder if he feels the same.
