Diana spoke about a lot of things in the documentary. We'll divide them into some topics; work, family, friends, love. We'll talk about work later. Let's talk about family first.
Family;
In the documentary, some pictures of Diana and her family were showed. But the faces of her parents or grandparents were blurred. Only Diana's face was showed and sometimes, Jay is in the photo, they will unblur Jay and Diana's faces.
There are some highlights in Diana's interview about her family. She said, "Jay and I have a really big gap. For me, it's already a big gap. He was born in 2002 while I'm in 1996. So, a total of 6 years. So, when I was 8 years old and I moved to Seoul, he was just 2 years old."
She continued, "We never actually have time together. We didn't grow up with our parents. I mean, I did. He did. But we didn't grow up together with our parents. I moved to Seoul and he came to Seoul when he was 8 years old and I was 14 years old that time."
She continued again, "So, at 14 years old, I'm using international age. So, don't be confused. So, he came to Seoul at 8 years old, around June or July? I was already in Big Hit Entertainment. I already signed with Big Hit. So, morning, I will go to school, after school, I will go straight to Big Hit to train."
"I never really see him every day. After I signed with Big Hit, I was 24 hours busy. I was either sleeping, practicing, in school, eating, or at Big Hit. I never have time to really mingle with Jay or my grandparents when I already sign with Big Hit. So, that's one of the consequences I have to face after signing in an agency."
"Well, yes. Saturday and Sunday aren't off days. There are no off days in this industry. Work, every day. That's the rule. Well, we have off days but only a day or two. So, my time with family was very...almost nothing. Almost none after I sign with Big Hit."
"Well, I also met other friends and started mingling with friends at Big Hit. With members of BTS most of the time. With the producers and so on. So, you can say that I'm 24 hours busy. At first, my grandparents were worried about me. I never had a day off from it. But I said it was fine."
"Yes, I could also say that my relationship with my family grows apart at that time. It became more apart after I debuted. I moved out of my grandparents' house to my own apartment. I never had time to call them. I saw their text but when I want to reply, my manager called, telling me to practice or workout or do something."
"At the end, I forgot to reply to their texts. Jay and I were like strangers. But I do notice his presence. I know he was there. Sometimes, we talk too but not much. Almost like strangers still. When my grandmother told me that he joined Big Hit Entertainment, I was furious. I've warned him to not join this industry."
"I had already known the consequences and I've gone through the difficult procedure and process to become an idol. It's not the things I want my own siblings to go through. I've warned him to not join it. I went home that weekend and forced Jay to sign out of Big Hit. I was furious that he joins the industry."
"We had a huge argument that day. Our grandparents couldn't stop our argument. We were bickering about him joining the industry. I mean - I was worried about him. I didn't want him to choose this path because I've been through it and my second album got bashed a lot and I was hurt. I was near to death. it hurts."
