I arrived on the porch of my house, the phone still pressed to my ear as Harry rambled on about how boring math class was today.
"Erm Harry?" I said.
He stopped talking immediately "Yeah babe?"
"I'm not feeling so great, I'm going to lie in bed. See you tomorrow" I sighed.
"Oh. Um. Okay. See you tomorrow. Get better baby" He chirped before hanging up.
I slipped my phone back into my pants pocket.
I entered my house, which was dark. All the lights were out and it was quieter than usual.
Where was daddy?
I turned on the lights and walked to the kitchen, when I found a note on the fridge.
Hey Julia,
I just went out to the store. Be back in a few hours.
With love, Daddy
I shrugged and tossed the note in the recycling. Not like I needed it.
I went up stairs and flopped into my bed, turning my head to the window.
I saw Louis.
He was changing his shirt, and wow. He was fit. Way more fit than I remember him to be.
His waist was tanned and defined, his v lines were sexy. Something you would see in a magazine!
He looked up from the ground of his bedroom and smiled his warming smile.
I blushed and turned away. I could tell he was laughing.
I moved the hair out of my face and returned my gaze to him. He was just getting over the fit of laughter he just let out.
He smiled at me again, and I felt my knees buckle.
Louis then disappeared.
I looked around the window for him, but he just left.
And he said he would never want to leave me again.
I sighed to myself as I turned around "Stupid liar- AH" I jumped up when someone grabbed me.
I screamed and kicked "It's me, Lou" A warm whisper slipped into my ear.
I stopped kicking and screaming and turned around slowly to look at him.
He had his arms around mine, holding my gently. His eyes were burying deep into mine, making my skin get goosebumps. It was different from Harry's eyes. Harry's eyes were warm and welcoming, but looking into Louis' eyes were like looking at a old scrapbook or photo album. You have all these old memories pouring into you, and you can't stop them if you wanted to. It's warm but chilling. Loving but hurting.
You want it but then again, you don't.
Louis leaned closer, his lips brushing against mine.
Just as our lips connected, someone opened the door.
I quickly pushed Louis away from me, he landed beside the bed.
It was a reflex, and a good move to make considering the person who walked through was Harry.
He was holding a little kid lunch box and had a warm smile plastered onto his face, his dimples shining.
I was flustered "Harry, what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to keep cool, like I wasn't just about to kiss his best mate.
"You said you weren't feeling well, so I made you some soup" He smiled cheekily, holding up the lunch box that had Superman on it.
I smiled. "Thanks"
He came closer and kissed me. He hadn't noticed Louis.
Louis cringed sadly at our kiss and ducked out of my room before Harry could see him.
He quickly went down the stairs, but slammed the door when he left.
Harry pulled me close "What was that?"
I reassured him "Just the wind"
He shrugged and kissed me again, but the knots started to form in my stomach. Did I make a mistake to pick Harry over Louis?
