Loki's Rule

Chapter 13

Rox's Pov.

"You're an Avenger?" Rox stuttered as she stared at the Women in front of her.

"Yes." the women spat at Rox, "Why would you care... you're just a Slave of Loki's. A puppet."

This comment angered Rox. She was not anyone's puppet. She was strong and smart. Loki didn't control her, she controled herself.

"Because I know the word Miss.. and not just because Loki says you all are villians you Avengers, but because I remember what the words use to mean. Before Loki's rule over Earth. And you are ruining the name" Rox explained.

"You know that the name means?" the women's voice softened.

"I do. The word was a symbol of hope. Meaning! It mean't that no matter what happened to the earth someone would always be around to avenge it. To Save it! Avengers were the superheroes of Earth. Before I was 5 and Loki took over... Earth was a safe and prosperous world... it was an Avengers world.." Rox replied at the women.

"How do you remember that?" the women suttered.

"Because my parents were Avengers... I don't have a lot of memories of them. Loki says the Avengers turned evil right before he took earth... thats why he did it... to save the world from the Avengers... I remember my mother aways saying that, 'an avenger isn't choosen because of their powers or strength... they are choosen based on their will to protect and serve, to work in the population's best intrest.' she would continue on and tel me that 'You don't have to have to have powers to be an avenger... everyone who has a heart of gold and the will to make the world a better place is an avenger. Weither or not they have super powers.' "

The women looked at Rox with hope in her eyes.

"What is your name..." she stuttered towards rox.

"My friends call me Rox... Like Rocks, but it's spelled R.O.X." Roxanna explained giving the women her nickname.

"Why do they call you that.." she asked.

"because... I'm the Rock that holds the group down when the Hurracine comes and I'm the one who is the strongest of them all. Not in strength and powers... but in skill and heart. " Rox explained, "Plus... Roxy is to main stream for me..."

The women chuckled at this, "I'm Carol," the women introduced herself.

"Well Carol, can you tell me why you are fighting against Loki?" Rox asked getting serious.

"I'm fighting for people like your Parents, who ever they are. I'm one of the avengers from before the 'saving the world' battle. I'm one of the ones that avoided loki." Carol explained.

"What do you mean, avoided Loki?"

"I don't know if Loki told you this. I assume he just lied. But Loki he's not the hero you guys think he is. before he took Earth he was a criminal, The exiled prince of Asgard. he is the God of mischief and lies. The avengers originally formed because they needed to stop Loki from taking New York. he was given so many chances to turn good. He turned down all of them.

"About 12 years ago he attacked New York with the help of Thanos and kidnapped all the other avengers to use as trophies. But a few of us escaped. Loki is a criminal and a lier, a power driven man." she finished.

Rox stared at the women for a while before finally talking.

"That's why?" She stuttered

Carol nodded her head.

Alex pov.

"Tell me again how you let them escape!?" Spat loki furiously.

"I underestimated the women you saw the video! My shield slipped hit the camera then flew back and hit me!" Alex explained to Loki, "the women could have grabbed the shield and broke her cuffs before picking his!"
