Alex's pov.

Alex sat on one side of the fire, her parents on the otherside. Steven sat next to her, he hadn't left her side since he had found her. He still didn't trust the two that Alex had said were their parents.

"So..." Alex sighed twittling her thumbs.

"How did you get out without Loki knowing?" Natasha automatically asked her daughter.

"Loki may be the God of Lies, but that doesn't mean he can't tell when I'm holding back part of the truth. I told him bits and pieces, like you managed to steal my shield and I got it back and threw it at you. The camera hid the rest of the truth, I didn't need to tell it to him. He knows he still needs me as a guard, but he knew he couldn't just let me go free, suspention was his best choice. I expected it, but I expected like 2 months, no pay or something, I thought I would need more time to find you. But this little rascal cut about a month off that search." Alex explained before ruffling Steven's blonde hair.

Steven tried to duck away from the ruffling but didn't manage to.

Alex chuckled at his attempt.

It was Steve's turn to speak, "How did you know we were your parents?"

Alex sighed again, "About a month or two ago, before I meet Steven, I was at Loki's School for me and other teens, like me and Elta. We have this large collection of movies and one day when I was orginizing I found this movie, Captain America and the Winter Soldier. It was around this time that Elta discovered her powers and regained her memory. Loki had put Memory Loss spells on all of us, We couldn't remember anything before his rain, We all just thought it was the issue of our age at the time. I broke through a little, Elta helped me tear down the wall blocking my memories completely. That's how I remembered you guys..."

Natasha stared at her two children, she wanted nothing more then to hug them and love them like she had before, before Loki. But there was tension now, Steven didn't recognize his parents, how could he? He was taken by Loki the same day he was born. Alex remembered her parents but it had been 12 years since she had last truely seen them, and back then she was a 4 year old girl who thought only of raindows and puppies. Her parents didn't know her, they didn't know what she was like. They didn't know what she had been put through, the endless nights laying awake wondering if her parents had abandoned her.

Alex twittled her thumbs again, she didn't want to stay still, and the awkward silence was killing her.

"OK!" she finally burst, "I can't take this, 12 years and all you can do is sit across a fire from us and just stare asking simple questions, you don't hug us or cry, you don't even show emotion! DO you know what I went through? I trained everyday trying not to turn into the people Loki said my parents were! He said you were rogues! Didn't even care for your own children! I would lay awake at night wondering if you guys truely ever loved me, if Loki was right. I would wonder what I did wrong! Why you hated me! Why you left me! Then I would get a memory of laughing and getting ice cream right before being shoved into a metal room with 8 other kids! That never helped! I know that's not true but that doesn't remove the feeling of abandonment!"

Natasha snapped her eyes up at her daughter, and she saw herself, the same feeling she got when she was in the red room, abandonment. She had promised herself to never put her daughter through that feeling when Alex was first born. She couldn't keep that promise. She had let her daughter fall into the enemy's hand.

The two parents went to respond when Laura came running in the room with Clint behind her.

"Alex! Wolverine wants you. There are two teens your age and one of them is addresssing Loki as Lord Loki, he thinks you know him." Laura explained quickly.
