Loki's Rule

Chapter 14

Calvin's Pov.

"Can you feel anything?" Calvin asked Scarlet as they walked threw the ruins of New York.

"No... Nothing... it's almost deserted." Scarelt responded as they continued to walk.

Scarlet was trying to feel around for a person's probably to alter to know if anyone was close by. And could sense no one. well that was the case until she felt the sudden glimpse of probability 500 feet infront of her and 4 stories underground.

"Got something... straight ahead and under us about 4 stories." Scarlet spoke as she walked forward trying to keep the person in range.

"How are they underground?" Calvin asked following his girlfirend.

"I don't know... but they are moving fast." Scarlet replied.

"Alright. let's go get them." Calvin answered.

Scarlett and Calvin started running through the ruins of the city. Scarlet lead because she was the one doing the tracking. they continued to follow the person for 20 more minutes until Scarlet froze.

"What happened?" Calvin asked.

"The person stopped. They're right below us by like 3 stories." Scarlet answered to her boyfriend as she bend and felt the ground trying to get a better reading.

Calvin walked over to her bending down next to her.

That's when the ground below them opened up and swallowed them. They were sent flying down what looked to be a bottomless pit. Well it felt like that for about 8 seconds. Calvin was already putting out a rope arrow and attaching it to his bow when they hit the black net.

The sound of two 'UGH!'s echoed through the chamber they were in.

"Scarlet!" Calvin yelled as he despritly looked around the net trying to find his girlfriend.

The two had landed in a spider like net which stratched from wall to wall. It was dark and almost pitch black, the only thing that made it lighter were the 5 thorches that were lit and hanging from the walls.

"Cal!" a voice replied back.

Calvin started crawling in the direction of the voice and eventually found Scarlet.

"Scarlet!" he called in relief as he went over to her.

The two quickly hugged before a sound seperated them. The echo of voices through corridors.

Calvin quickly snapped his bow out of its locked position hooked to his quiver and grabbed an arrow hooking it to the string of the bow. Next to him Scarlet's hands started glowing red and she was ready to cast a hex on whoever was coming.

The next thing they knew they were both knocked out by a blow to the back of the head. When they woke up they were tied to the wall their hands wrapped around it, they both were blindfolded and gagged.

"What do we got?" said a masceline voice.

"We have two agents of Loki's, both are teens and appear to be around the age of 16 or 17 dad. The girl was armed with 4 daggers and is for sure a mutant. I gave her the power inhibiting serum that should last for the next 5 hours. The boy was armed with what appears to be uncle clints old bow." another voice which sounded younger replied.

Suddenly the blindfold was wripped off of Calvin. He flinched at the sudden light. It wasn't like the sun kind of bright but more like floresent light shinning straight into his eyes. The gag was wripped off too.

"Alright bub... tell me why you and your friend were sneaking in rebel territory?" A man said.

Calvin's eyes finally aggustied to the light and he got a good view of where he was. It was an underground intericagtion room. The man interigating him had black hair and side burns. To his right Scarlet was slumpped over still knocked out.
