Dear Notebook,
I think in the future when I have many friends and a lot of people in my life I'll hopefully won't feel alone. Feeling alone is what got me to make the biggest mistake of my life. At least people cared enough after that mistake to make sure I wouldn't try it again. At least my father cares enough to notice me back then but this is now.
Now I am battling with very real and very annoying feelings for Ginny Weasley. Who happens to be my only friend. She doesn't know what happened so she actually sees me as a person without a past. She sees me as Lyra Malfoy, the girl who became her friend.
I think she's battling with some feelings about Dean Thomas. She said last night that she doesn't like him and came to ME. I told her the truth so hopefully she cares enough to follow through with it. I just really hope she and Potter don't get together any time soon.
Anyway right now I'm going back to Malfoy manor. I wasn't supposed to go back while still being friends with Ginny but I really don't care about that. I want to see my mom again even if she was the one to say Ginny is a blood-traitor. I know this Christmas won't be like the others but a girl can hope!
I'm now on the Hogwarts express and it hasn't pulled out of the station yet. I found a place to sit and I just saw Harry stare at Ginny for a little too long. Maybe I should put some love potion in his drink? For my brother obviously though. That would be weird. Draco and Harry. I kind of see it now that I say it. . .
Harry shook his head before going onto the train with his Weasley friend. I'm being weird now so I'm going to stop looking at Harry to see if he's looking at Ginny. . .oh there he goes! Draco is pushing some first years. Just like old times when he pushed me in my first year. Such an amazing brother!
Oh shit! It's Harry outside my compartment door. I mean I'm still writing and he thinks I can't see him but I can. I'm using a pen since it's just easier. Father would kill me for that. Oh Harry's now left and Ginny's just run past my compartment. She has other friends so thats obvious. Oh wait she's come back. Now she's coming into the compartment. OKAY BYEEEEE
From Lyra Malfoy
"Hello Ginny." Lyra said as Ginny sat down across from Lyra.
"Hey-I took your advice." Ginny said and Lyra was intrigued. "Me and Dean are done." Ginny said and Lyra smiled.
"I'm allowed to be happy for you right?" Lyra whispered and Ginny chuckled and looked down. "Good because FINALLY!" Lyra said and Ginny burst out laughing.
"I know right. He said he's gay so really it's his fault." Ginny said and Lyra gaped at her. "Yeah. . .but still we broke up!"
"Oh my god he's with Finnagin isn't he?" Lyra asked and Ginny shrugged. "That boy he's friends with-the one with the irish accent."
"I don't know." Ginny shrugged before getting up and sitting next to Lyra. "What were you writing?"
"Oh about how much Potter stares at you." Lyra said and Ginny giggled. "Does he have a crush on you?"
"Harry? No." Ginny said laughing. "I had a crush on him during my first and second year though."
"Well I had a crush on him for about five seconds until he said 'Ew' to looking at me." Lyra said and Ginny glared at the floor. "Yeah thats what I said."
"I could beat him up for you." Ginny offered and Lyra chuckled.
"No. I can beat him up myself." Lyra said and Ginny smiled.
Lyra and Draco got home with Narcissa and once there Bellatrix was there to greet them and so was someone they didn't expect but should have. There was Lord Voldemort sitting at the end of the long table and Lyra blocked up her mind really quickly and kept herself from showing any kind of emotion.
"Why Hello. . .Lyra and. . .Draco." Voldemort said with a creepy smile.
"Hello. . .my lord." Lyra said cringing at that.
"My lord." Draco said bowing to him and Lyra followed suit.
"It's Christmas time is it not?" Voldemort said and Lyra looked at him and saw a creepy smile.
"Yes. . .my lord." Lucius said cowering behind with Narcissa who kept a glare on Voldemort.
"I have a job for you Lucius. . .you two can go." Voldemort said and Lyra nodded before walking out of the room with her trunk in hand. She hated everything about that man, and really wanted to know why he was in their house tainting all those good memories. The memories before he came back and they were happy.
That Christmas wasn't a good one. The Malfoy Manor was darker than before and Lyra's mark burnt more often than not. Seeing as Aunt Bella was out of Azkaban she now taught Lyra and Draco occlumency to close their minds.
Lyra really didn't have memories of Aunt Bella, seen as she was only one when she went to Azkaban. She was never told of why she went there but Lyra always assumed it was something bad like killing a muggle. No one really told her much about the important stuff, but the stupid stuff she knew about.
Now on her way back to Hogwarts Lyra was so ready to see Ginny again and maybe be happy for a bit before her and Draco's mission was complete. So Lyra was ready to soak up all those good memories.
Lyra smiled to herself as she closed her eyes and held her knees close. The Hogwarts express was pretty bumpy and she opened her eyes and saw Ginny sit down across from her with a wide smile on her face.
"Hi Gin." Lyra said with a small smile on her face.
"Hello. I have some shit to tell you." Ginny added with a straight face and Lyra raised an eyebrow. And so, Ginny told Lyra all about the fire at the Burrow and how Bellatrix Lestrange (Aunt Bella) had been there.
Lyra had now remembered that Aunt Bella had mysteriously been out one night with a few other death eaters. She didn't know what was happening at the time, but now realized she was in sweatpants and a sweatshirt eating ice cream. She was now glad she didn't know before hand.
"That's terrible." Lyra said shaking her head.
"Yeah-oh other news." Ginny said raising her eyebrows at the door when Harry and Ron walked by.
"You like him." Lyra stated that and Ginny choked on what Lyra thought was air.
"What?" Ginny gasped and Lyra smiled.
"It's okay if you like him. I think he likes you too." Lyra said looking out the window.
"W-What?" Ginny said blushing furiously from embarressment.
"I mean who wouldn't like you?" Lyra said with a small smile. "Your pretty, smart, athletic, strong, hot-" Lyra then blushed and covered up her face with her hands.
"What?" Ginny said blushing still but now for other reasons.
"I said nothing." Lyra said biting her lip trying to control her facial expressions.
"Y-You said?" Ginny asked and Lyra laughed nervously.
"I did say nothing." Lyra said with a smirk trying to be funny and failing.
"Your an idiot." Ginny noted and Lyra nodded and a few seconds went by until the two burst out laughing.
