Delilah's povI have taken about too many shots to count now. I haven't made my way back to Jacob and Victoria yet either. I've just been staring at those green eyes and his three friends. He kept looking over at me too which I still thought was weird. There was no way he could remember me. Right? My thoughts get interrupted when a cold pair of hands grabbed my shoulders and turned me around. It was Jacob and I knew he was angry. "Where the hell have you been. Do you think you can just fucking leave me like that?" I was too drunk for this and people were watching. "Answer me!" I could tell his grip on my arms was going to leave a bruise. "If you don't fucking answer me right now I swear-"
Then that same thick British accent I remember came into the conversation. Those green eyes looked straight into mine,"Is there a problem here?" Jacob looked at him and said,"I don't think that's any of your concern. Sometimes she just needs to be taught a lesson." Those eyes looked into my teary ones and he knew something was wrong. I nodded my head at him like he could understand. He turned to look at Jacob,"I'm going to have to ask you to leave her alone." Jacob got even more angry,"Who are you to tell me to leave my girlfriend alone?" I cut in and whispered,"Jacob, just go home." Jacob stepped closer and I flinched a little,"You're going to really regret this." He turned around and stomped away.
I wiped the tears away and turned toward the man that was still standing here. I whispered a faint,"Thank you," and he responded with,"Are you okay?" I nodded, and tried to stand up. As soon as I did I remembered how drunk I was and stumbled a bit, but he caught me. "How about you come chill with me and my friends okay?" I hesitated. Wasn't this the dude that robbed a bank? Maybe he wasn't. I could trust Victoria to get home by herself, right? I hope so because for some odd reason I felt the need to go with him. I nodded my head at him and he smiled.
Once we made our way over there they all gave him a weird look but I just ignored it. I sat own on one of the couches they were sitting on and put my head in my hand. I felt the seat dip down next to me and a hand touched my back but I flinched. "You sure you're okay?" I shook my head and looked up at him,"This was supposed to be the best birthday I've ever had, but now I'm here sitting with the guys that robbed a bank I was in a year ago." Once I said that I immediately regretted it, but I had no filter when I was drunk.
They looked shocked. "What are you talking about?" He asked I shrugged my shoulders and whispered,"Do you really think I could forget those eyes? Ive never seen anything like them." He laughed and put his hand on my thigh,"Yours are one of a kind too." I blushed and started playing with the 'H' ring on his fingers. "What's your name?" I asked him. He laughed and said,"I forgot we haven't actually introduced ourselves. I'm Harry. And you are?" I smiled and said,"Delilah." He then put his hand out for me to shake which I did happily.
He doesn't seem like the same person I met a year ago. He seems nicer and kinder and he's funny. I could tell that I was a little drunk but I still wanted to drink. I stood up a little too fast but I was okay and said,"Come on Harold. I still want to make this a good birthday, and you're all I've got." He laughed at my sudden burst of energy and asked,"Where are we going exactly," I grabbed his hand and pulled him up and said," To dance." He responded with,"Oh I don't dance, darling" I shook my head and grabbed his hand. "Well you've never danced with me have you, handsome?"
