Harry's pov"Well you've never danced with me have you, handsome?"
The second I heard those words fall out of her mouth I knew I had made a mistake coming here tonight. But I can't say no to her now. It's too late. But one thing you should no about me: I don't dance. But those eyes. Those eyes are like drugs. I hadn't forgotten them since I first saw them.
Now I'm not going to lie to you, I may have been keeping tabs on our sweet Delilah since our first encounter. Just a little research, at first, but it soon became a hobby of mine. The boys don't know this but I may have found out a few weeks ago that she was going to be here. I finally decided I should just check up on here. You know, just to see if she was doing okay and all. And the boys will never pass up the opportunity to go clubbing, so I took it as the best time to go.
But when she first looked at me it was different. She knew me. I could tell. There's no way, I thought, last time she saw us we had our faces covered. When that dick of a boyfriend came after her I knew it wasn't going to be good. As soon as I saw him put his hands on her I couldn't just sit here and watch. I decided to take action, but he's all talk I knew he wouldn't try anything with me. Which was true, but she was too drunk to be left alone and I didn't know if she was here with anyone else. So I invited her over. The boys were confused because I never do this type of shit but I guess I'll have to explain later, or at least make up some kind of excuse.
I got pulled back to reality when I felt a tug on my hand. I looked up at those eyes, my sweet Delilah, she has no idea what she has gotten herself into. I smirked at her and said,"Let's see what you got, babe."
She dragged me to the dance floor smiling and giggling. Even though I hate this I can't help but smile too. I haven't let my guard down this much since I can remember but there's something about her. Something special. It scares me knowing the power she holds. And she doesn't even know it. She probably won't even remember this tomorrow. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for. I can't have her going to the police after something as simple as that dumb robbery. Not that dumb though, without being there I never would have seen those fucking eyes.
The next thing I know, I feel her gridding on me to the beat of the music. I look down and is shocked by how good she is at this. Who knew? I stand there like an idiot but like I said, I don't dance. She suddenly turns around and puts her hands around my neck like it was instinct. Swaying to the song she makes a pouty face. "I didn't bring you out here to just stand there. Dance with me or I'm gonna go get one of you're pretty friends over there." She motions her head in the direction of the boys. They all look shocked but who am I kidding I'm shocked too.
But as soon as she said that, I felt the sudden jealousy wash over me. Becoming protective I looked down at her, smirking, I shook my head and laughed,"Don't worry darling, I'm sure they'd love too but that's not gonna happen. You see, you're just too pretty to let go." I leaned down right next to her ear and whispered,"I'm not good at sharing what's mine."
She blushed and looked away. I laughed and gave in, slowly moving to the beat. She should be happy I had a few drinks in me as well. She looked up at me shocked but played it off and began dancing with me. I feel really out of place but there's something about here that makes me so comfortable in her arms. She turned back around and started gridding against me again but this time I put my hands on her hips and moved with her.
All of a sudden she stopped, turned around, and looked at me with panic in her eyes. What was happening? "Delilah, is everything okay?" Talk to me." Her breathing picked up like he was hyperventilating which scared me. What happened, she was fine just a second ago? "Victoria" I heard her small voice say. Victoria? Her sister? "Is she here with you?" She nodded her head. "Can you take me to her, love?" She nodded her head again and started walking towards the back. Hand in hand, I followed.
Once her sister saw her, she came rushing over to us. "D? You okay?" Delilah shook her head and started to break down in her sisters arms. Victoria glared at me," And who are you?' I like that she was being defensive of her sister but she really doesn't need to worry about me. "Umm I'm sorry, we were just dancing. Is she okay, though?" I just need to know she's okay. What even happened? Was is something I did?
Victoria spoke up,"I think she had a panic attack. Thanks for bringing her to me, we should get home. You can go now." I got sad all of the sudden. After a year of dreaming of those eyes, I have to let go once again. "Uh yeah I'll go, but is she gonna be okay?" I just had to make sure. "Yeah she'll be okay, probably too many people. She probably got overwhelmed and the alcohol sure didn't help."
Delilah turned and looked at me with puffy eyes," I'm sorry." I went up to her and hugged her," No, babe you've got nothing to be sorry about." I didn't want to let go of her. The smell of strawberries and vanilla resided on her skin. I could breath her scent forever but I knew that could never happen. I can't get attached to people like this, especially people like Delilah. I need to let go. So I let her go, turned around and walked back to they boys. I don't know why this is so hard for me. There is something so special about that Delilah Wilson.
I am broken out of my thoughts when Niall looks at me and says,"What the hell just happened?"
