Cecilia's P.O.V.

Heyyyy, my name is Cecilia Ana Smith. I'm a 17 year old teenage girl; I'm half black (dad's side) and half white (mom's side). I live with my best friend, Reina, and her mom. I live with them not for the reason you might think like: My mom kicked me out, because she didn't. I loved my mom so much, well I still do. You see she died when I was 7 years old by cancer and I had no father to go to, because he died also, when I was 5. He died in a shooting trying to save his brother, but my uncle (his brother) died too. She didn't want me to live with her family, they were too stuck up and they didn't approve her relationship with my father, so they basically didn't approve of me; she didn't want me to live with my father's family, because they were, in the nicest way possible, "hood rats". So I went to live my childhood friend Reina. You might be wondering how do I know all of this, well that's easy mom #2 told me, Reina's mom.

Helena (a.k.a mom #2) is a single mother and she tries to give Reina and I whatever we want (with some restrictions of course), to show us woman can be strong and independent. I appreciate it plenty, and I do believe her. I hope if I end in a situation similar to hers that'll I'll be like my mom and her.
