Douglas looked out of the chopper that belonged to the Para Los Muertos. Wade motioned for Douglas to put on the headset. He plopped them on his head.

Wade, "We'll be at Redfern in twenty minutes."

"I called Williams and Roscoe."

"The Feds?"

"They were pissed we did not inform them last time."

"I wish you didn't, Doug. It's likely some of those officers on Edgar's list will be there."

"I gave the Feds the list. I didn't tell them about Redfern. But I hope you're correct. From here on out, we're on our own."

Bolivar said, "You're not alone. My men are with you. But I could only wrangle four of my best."

Douglas asked, "I don't get how you and Wade connected?"

"His brother is a spook," Bolivar said, "When you've worked the narcotic trade long enough you work with CIA types all the time, am I right Wade?"

"I don't know if my brother is a spook. But that's how I was there, at the cabin."

"Edgar told me to keep a lookout for Jador, then call his brother."

"Why did you kill Flavell?"

"I didn't kill him," Doug said.

"He was undercover."

"So, he Flavell found out Elmore had a brother."

Wade said, "I guess Hank was wrong. Flavell wasn't a sonofabitch after all. knew Jador was a forked tongue suck head."

"You trusted everything your brother said?"

"Everything he said was right."

The pilot said, "We're here. Get ready."

The helicopter flew in a few clicks away from Redfern. It was a night-time drop back into it. They still held the advantage and Braithwaite was none the wiser that a few mercenary drug dealers and two detectives were about to rain down sweet justice upon them. But Wade knew things always go tits up in Solemn Pines.
