ten

you woke up this morning by some shuffling. it wasn't loud but it was audible. it didn't sound like it was coming from your room or apartment.

you yawn, opening and rubbing your eyes, and seeing your phone propped up on the table beside your bed.

you look at your screen, still half asleep. you notice yourself in the top corner and the rest of the screen of the ceiling but the camera is shaking a bit.

then, a face comes into frame.

"oh, goodmorning." george says, dragging out the g a little, running a hand through his hair.

"morningg." you say, grabbing your phone and rubbing your eye with your free hand, holding the phone above your face.

"did i wake you? i'm sorry, you can go back to sleep if you want. i'll mute." he says, apologizing as he sits down and discards his hand from his hair.

"no, it's fine. how long have you been up for?" you ask, tapping your screen to check the time.

"not long, actually. probably about 20 minutes ago or something, i don't know." he replies, leaning back in his chair after he put up his phone so it was standing.

you hum, yawning once more before deciding to sit up.

you stare at your wall, zoning out a little bit. both of you sit in comfortable silence until a discord ringtone comes through the facetime call.

you look away from your wall, and back at your phone.

"dream's calling me." george says, "answer it." you say, dragging your blankets off your body and moving to the edge of your bed.

"are you sure? i don't wanna hang up on you..." he says, going quieter at the last part.

you hum, "then don't, just talk to dream and i at the same time, no big deal." you say, walking out of your room and to your kitchen.

he hesitates for a few seconds before answering.

"george!" dream says, "dream!" george replies, and they both laugh a little.

"i'm with y/n, say hi!" george says, leaving dream silent.

"wha-WHAT?? you're with her? let me see!" dream says, surprised and confused.

"no- nonono, i mean, on facetime." george says laughing a little, earning an 'ohh' from dream.

you laugh, assuming dream heard you as he says hi.

"hello pissbaby." you say, hearing a faint groan from him.

"did you just wake up? you sound different." he says, and george replies before you could.

"yeah, she like, just got up from bed. did you even make your bed yet?" george says, and you shake your head at him through your camera.

"what, how do you know george?" dream says, and you both could practically hear the smirk in his voice.

"we fell asleep on facetime last night, that's pretty much it." he just hums, before asking, "you slept call?"

"no, dream, we didn't. we just ended the call last night and called back when we woke up." george explains sarcastically, dream scoffing at him midway as george was speaking.

"heh, you're such an idiot." he says laughing a bit, and you speak up. "agreed."

you all talk as you make breakfast and start your day.

"what are you eating?" dream asks. by now, you've switched to discord and joined a vc with george and dream, you both have your camera on except for dream for obvious reasons.

"cereal, have you ate your breakfast yet?" you ask, taking another bite.

"yeah, i have." he says, "what'd you have? cat shit?" george says, making you almost spit out your food.

"GEORGE, OUT OF POCKET!" you say after swallowing your food. you laugh, and realize dream went on deafen.

you and george must have noticed at the same time as you both start laughing at the same time.

eventually, dream undeafens. he sighs, "no, i didn't eat any cat shit. i had some beacon and eggs, thank you for asking. did you even eat your breakfast?"

george doesn't answer, instead you and dream and hear movement from his mic.

"uhm, no. not hungry though!" he says as you frown a little.

"you need to eat, george. hungry or not, you need food." you explain, and he groans.

"what's the point of eating food when you're not hungry?" he argues, and you sigh.

"wait, no, he has a point." dream says and george barks a laugh.

"exactly! it's 2v1!" he says loudly.

"what, i didn't know this was an argument. nevermind, i'm with y/n, so eat some food, georgie." dream says sarcastically, trying to compress his laugh when saying 'georgie.'

george groans, changing the topic. you were silent as they bickered, it was entertaining and funny.

"i'll eat later. are any of you streaming later or something?" he asks and dream says no, "nah, might post on the shorts channel though, i want to try to get daily uploads."

"i don't think i will, i don't have anything to stream tonight, why?"

"i don't know, just wondering i guess." he said and you assumed he was shrugging even though you couldn't see him.

"wait, wanna be in some of our videos on the shorts channel?" dream says, you don't respond since you didn't think he was asking you.

"y/n?" dream and george say on sync, laughing a little about it afterwards.

"huh?" is all you say and dream laughs again, "do you wanna be on some our videos on the shorts channel?" he asks again.

"oh, wait- you were talking to me? i thought you were talking to george or something, but yeah! sure, it sounds pretty fun." the happy tone in your voice was pretty hard to ignore.

you, dream and george have been talking for almost the past 2 hours until you decide to film for dream's shorts channel.

"so, what's the skit?" you ask, opening minecraft.

"hmm, i'm not sure yet. i do have a few ideas writen down though." dream says, his voice becoming faint as gets farther away from his mic.

"do you have any ideas?" dream asks both you and george as he returns back to his mic.

the three of you brainstormed both good and bad video ideas.

"oh! what about we do a skit about georges cooking stream but in minecraft! like, when george was frying his steak, dream walked out of the room to use the bathroom and then the kitchen is on fire or
something." you suggest, earning hums of approval.

"that doesn't sound bad, i like it." dream says as george makes a noise.

"eh, i don't really mind, i'm fine with anything." is all he says before dream invites you both to a world.
