Chapter 2- 'Youtube meeting'

Ivy's POV:

It was super late, like midnight. I'm pretty sure Tom thinks I'm asleep. Wilbur had just finished streaming, it was a really good stream. I love the Geoguessr streams, it helps me with my geography a little bit.

I went to go say night to Tom so I went over to his door and was about to open it. There were muffled sounds coming through the door so I just knocked. "One second Mummm" He shouted but not loud enough for our sleeping parents to hear us. It was our code to say he was on a call. Ever since he first started talking to people online more we came up with a plan. I'd knock first if he said the classic ' one second Mum' then he was on a call and would come and see me.
It works pretty well with only a few close calls here and there.

I sat on my bed for a couple of minutes spinning my fidget spinner and thinking about school tomorrow. I love school but I hate having to go. All the people who talk with their friends and laugh in class make it so I can't concentrate, it sucks. I tend to just keep my head down and try to focus on one sound that isn't too loud to help me block out the other ones. Most of the teachers liked me so I didn't get marked down for fidgeting and being slow with tasks.
Although I have ADHD I get reasonable grades, Tom helps me out though. He is really good at English which I'm terrible at so he always teaches me tricks.

I heard a faint knock at the door and a quiet whisper asking if I was awake and ok. I replied with a 'just come in' and then the door opened. Tom was standing there in his minecraft PJ's which he always wears. They are black and say Mine, Eat, Sleep repeat. He comes and sits beside me and tells me what he was up to.
"What were you doing Tom you're not usually on calls that late."
"Oh, um I was talking to Dream about youtube and asking what he thought of my vid plans."
"Oh cool! I should probably sleep. I have school tomorrow."
"Yeah, you should, night Ivy. Try to sleep please"
"Ok Tom"
He pulled me into a big hug and then ruffled my hair before exchanging good nights once more.

I then put my head on the soft, cold pillow and began to drift off to sleep.

Tommy's POV:

I woke up and got dressed in my classic shirt since I was going to stream today. I then went to Ivy's room and woke her up as well. She is a heavy sleeper so I'm her alarm.
"Morning sleepy head, school today!" I said I was doing my best to be enthusiastic because I knew she really doesn't want to go.
"Fineee" She said dragging out her e as she was obviously annoyed at the fact that she had to go.

I miss her when she goes to school cus I can't protect her like I used to. When we went to the same school I would always sit with her and get all the bullies to shut up. But now she has to go alone, it really annoys me. Why her? She is really nice and kind and caring yet people fake a friendship and hurt her like they always do. I always go to the school at the end of the day and walk home with her otherwise the older kids tend to shout insults at her. I can't stand those types of guys.


Ivy's POV:

I grabbed a slice of toast and then Mum and Dad gave me a hug before Tom ruffled my hair and then I was on my way.

I always keep my head down and walk fast. I don't like many people, they just hurt me physically and mentally. I always wear my dark blue beanie with a big hoodie and joggers but for school of course I have to wear a uniform. I wish we could wear our own clothes because then I could shrink away and no one would notice.

I work quietly in lessons and try to concentrate but at lunch everyone sits with their friends. I don't ever sit with anyone, no one. Tom always sends me a message to see how I am and usually a video to watch so I don't feel lonely.

I finish the school day and wait for Tom by the gate. We always walk home together, or go on a walk. It is really cool, there is a forest near our house where we make dens. We've been doing this since I was around 7. It's always fun.

Tom never pushes me to do anything. Before now he has asked if I want to be in a video but since I declined he has never asked which is nice of him. He is a big public figure so being private and living together can be hard sometimes. I think at some point I'd like to but not for another year or two. People at school might recognise and tease me even more.

We walked home and then Tom had a youtube meeting which was really important so I went to go play some geoguessr and read all the tips I wrote from watching Wilbur's stream yesterday. I wonder what they'd think of me if they knew me. I think they'd be nice, but they might not be. If no one likes me apart from Tom, Mum and Dad then why would they like me. I don't know whether I want them to know about me. I know Tom doesn't mind and does tell me they are kind and good people, but I still worry about it. People change (An: Likes tide in the ocean :]) and you never know what they do. I want to tell them soon as it's hard for Tom. It's like he has to live an unknown life with me and then a public one as well. I will talk to him about it soon, I think, or not, I don't know.


Tommy's POV:

I told Ivy I had a youtube meeting but in reality I was talking to Dream about her birthday surprise. I felt bad but I knew it would be worth it in the end.

Incoming call, Dream
Decline         Accept

"Hello Dream you there?" I ask after a few moments of silence.
"Yeah, sorry I was plugging my mic in. So what time are you thinking?"
"Well Mum said that she could have all afternoon and evening to do whatever we want like every year so anytime."

"Ok sure sounds good. Would your sister want some merch?"
"Yeah she'd be over the moon with some! Do you want me to send you some money over?"
"Nah it's for free Tom, same address right?"
"Thanks so much man, and yeah same address."
"So, just me or is there anyone else you'd want to be on, even just to say hi?"
"Possibly Wil but we are talking later so don't worry about that, apart from that I think we're good."
"K, I'm gonna say no streaming the SMP tomorrow so that no one can see me giving you a tour cus then they might think something weird is going on. You know what the fans are like."
"Wait seriously, just for her? No one other than me and our parents has done something big for her before. This is gunna mean the world to her."
"It's fine Tommy, she sounds like a younger me a bit, I just want her to have a good day."

I know people complain about Dream, but man all he does for people he should get more praise. He is honestly making me so happy just by doing this for my sister. I gotta do a little thanks for him. Twitter, ah yes let me just thank him publicly. People need to know all he does man.
