I had never felt so alone in my life. I never saw Tinkerbell, Rosetta, even Vidia or the Lost Boys. The only person who came to visit me was the shadow. Even when the shadow did visit, it was only to tell me that I was disappointing him and that he would be back another day.

There was one strange day when he visited that he said I had some sort of power. I don't know what that is, but I assume that he wants me to figure it out. The thing is, I have no idea how or what he wants me to try to figure out.

I often hear the Lost Boys running around and whooping and yelling, but they never come near my tree house. The shadow gave me a bow and arrow, and I somehow had a natural ability to use both.

It has been four or so weeks since I've landed on the island.

I stalked my way through the lush forest, trying my best to stay as quiet as possible as I followed the Lost Boys. I decided I had enough of keeping my distance, and wanted to have some friends. I felt more alone here than in my hometown.

"For quite some time, I've sought something extremely important. Something more allusive than the greatest of all mysteries." I heard someone say, and I ducked behind a tree and some bushes, keeping my eyes on the clearing the boys surrounded. Pan stood in the middle with a boy, who looked to be from my "realm." At least that's what the Lost Boys had been calling it.

"What?" The boy asked, and I stood up a tiny bit, intrigued myself.

"The heart of the Truest Believer." Pan said, circling the boy. "And when you took that pixie dust and jumped off that cliff, Henry, you proved yourself." He knocked on the stump of a tree, then turned back to Henry. "You are the lucky owner of that special heart."

Henry just stood his ground, appearing to be unafraid. "And now you, and it, are mine." Pan said, pointing to himself. "C'mon, boys!"

The Lost Boys walked out from all sides of the clearing, completely surrounding Henry. They created a circle, closing in on him. Pan gave Henry a smug smile, "Let's play!"

The Lost Boys jumped on Henry, tying his arms and legs together with the many scarves they had around their own necks. I slapped a hand over my mouth, stifling a scream. Henry shouted and squired, trying to get out of their grasp.

"Let him go!" I shouted, jumping out of the bushes, taking my sword out of it's satchel. I ran up to the boys, hitting them with the butt of my sword. Many of the boys pulled out swords of their own, trying to fight me off.

I blocked them and fought back, hurting them in the process. I hated to do it, but this boy was innocent, he didn't do anything.

"Get her!" I heard Pan yell and many more Lost Boys emerged from the forest, grabbing my hair and cape. I screamed, flailing my arms around, trying my best to escape their arms. Suddenly I was lifted off the ground, and I felt like someone was choking me.

I gasped and sputtered, bringing my arms up to my neck. "Who are you?" Pan asked, glaring at me. I coughed in response, and my fingertips started losing color from the lack of oxygen. I was dropped to the ground and I laid there, trying my best to regain my breath.

"Who are you!" Pan asked again, stepping up to me, towering over me. I looked around and the Lost Boys and Henry were gone. So was my sword and bow and arrow.

"R-Rose." I gasped, sitting up and holding my stomach. I turned my face up to see Pan kneeling down in front of me. He grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him.
