I awoke with a jolt, as if I had been dropped. Someone, or something, had been carrying me, and dropped me on a beach, in shallow water.

Fantastic, I thought as I stood up, brushing my butt off, taking in my surroundings.

I'm obviously on an island, a very large island from what I could tell. Also in the middle of nowhere. No rescue. Great.

"Hello. Are you okay?" I heard a voice off in the distance call, and girl's voice. I turned back towards the ocean and saw a girl with vibrant red hair in the water, only from her shoulders up. She resembled the cartoon "The Little Mermaid." A lot. It was freaky.

"This can't be happening." I whispered in shock, bringing my hand up to my nose, slightly pinching the bridge.

"Are you okay?" She asked again.

"Ariel, right?" I called out to her. Might as well ask. What have I got to lose?

"Yes, how did you know?" She questioned, trying to swim closer to the shore.

"The Disney cartoon. Duh. Haven't you heard of it?" I asked, taking a few steps closer to the shore.

"What is a cartoon?" Oh, I wasn't expecting that. But she seems to be telling the truth, I have a detector for that type of thing.

"Where am I? Hawaii or something?" I decided to change the subject. I need to know where the hell I am so I know what to build for shelter, if needed.

"What is Hawaii? And you are in Neverland. Didn't you know? Can't you feel the magic in the air?" She put some bracelet thing on and stepped out of the water. With legs? What the hell?

"Neverland?! Like, from the fairytale? And no, I can't 'feel the magic in the air'." I sat down, letting my head fall into my hands.

Neverland. Ariel the Little Mermaid. From my little knowledge, okay, a lot of knowledge, Lost Boys, Captain Hook, and most importantly, Peter Pan.

I heard Ariel sit down next to me after a little bit. "Are you alright?" She asked, patting my shoulder awkwardly. I just nodded and stood up.

"I'm gonna go find a good place to set up a camp. And get food and other necessities."

"Oh! Go see Tinkerbell! She will help you with all of that! Just go down that path and you'll run right into her tree house!" I chuckled a small thanks and went down the path Ariel pointed at.

I followed the beaten down path for a while, maybe an hour or two, before I came upon a ladder.

This must be Tinkerbell's treehouse, I thought as I looked up to see a wooden house in the tree.

"Tinkerbell?" I called up the ladder. After a few silent seconds, a girl's head appeared at the top of the ladder.

"Who are you?" She asked, starting to climb down the ladder. Once she reached the bottom, I got to take her complete appearance in. Dark green dress, messy bun on the top of her head, but one thing was missing.

Her wings.

"I'm Rose. Rose Coma. Ariel sent me. She said you might be able to help me."

"Why would I help you, Rose? What's in it for me?" She crossed her arms, slightly glaring at me.

"I just need to know about the island. What to build for shelter, clothes that would be suitable for the island, foods to eat. Once I get that information, I'll be on my way. Please, help me." Those words tasted weird in my mouth. I'm never one to ask for help.
