Six months after moving to Ovela, Sophie and Howl have successfully hidden in plain sight in a country where magic is despised. Though they must be cautious of whom to trust, they aren't taking any chances...
The war is finally over, but not without some heavy prices to pay. I definitely deliberated and considered the impact of killing our precious characters, and at the end of it all I just knew that it was in their character to die for the ones they loved.
I will fully admit that I personally cried writing this story. Multiple times.
I always thought this would be my last fanfiction and that I would begin working on my original stories, but when COVID hit (the dirty ugly beast of 2020) I had several readers ask me to continue the storyline.
And without even thinking about it, The Fallen Star had already built itself in my mind.
This third book in the trilogy will most definitely be my last for the HMC fandom, and I'm not going out without making it the best I've ever written. As I write this author's note, I am currently in the middle of writing it. I expect 45 chapters, but who knows? There may be a little less, there may be a little more.
