In The Town

We walked to town with the people waving at us. They smiled as we walked by. I have always been told they are good people and to treat them right. We are all the same. I do not feel like that sometimes though with my powers. I feel different and seperate from everyone else. I have this beautiful gift of winter that no one else has. I can't help but feel I am a bit more different then everyone else.

I turn and look at the weird boy with the mark as we hold hands. He is smiling holding my little sister, Anna. He is very nice. He does not seem to care I have powers. He even likes them I think.
I smile remembering the snowflake that appeared in his mark. Thinking that now I am almost a part of him.

My thoughts are broken with Anna's squeals.
" Reindeer!" She calls as we pass the stable.
" Want to see them? " he asks as he stops in front of one of the short, brown stable doors.
" Yes!" Anna says excited.
He lifts her up and sets her on the edge of the door. She smiles and watches the reindeer in the stable.

I stand on my toes and see that the reindeer is a girl and is going to have a baby.
"John, will the reindeer have a boy or girl? "
" Huh? Oh, I am not sure Elsa, " he replies running his hand through his hair letting go of Anna.

"I hope she has a boy," I tell him.
" Why is that?" He asks looking down at me.
" I like them," I tell him confidently.
My confidence is broken when we hear Anna scream. We turn and see her fall into the stall.

" Anna!" I yell and try to see into the stall.
John hops over the door. He quickly picks up the dirty Anna and hops over the door before the now startled reindeer gets him. The reindeer presses against the door after he makes it over.
The weird boy holds Anna close, even though she is very dirty. I go closer to him, trying to get away from the upset reindeer.

I hold onto John's leg. He looks down at me and smiles reassuring me it is all okay. I relax a little seeing him smile. Anna holds onto his neck tightly though. He rubs her back in small circles.
" It's okay Anna. It's okay baby girl," he tells her smiling trying to calm her.

I get an idea. "John, may we go back to the castle and get some chocolate please?" I ask him knowing Anna absolutely loves chocolate.
Anna perks up at that and looks at John with hopeful puppy dog eyes.
" Yes, we can. It might be best to get this little one cleaned up," he says chuckling a bit looking at Anna, who is covered in mud from head to toe.

" Yes!" Anna yells excitedly. John smiles and takes my hand again as we walk back to the castle. We enter the castle and we are stopped in the main hallway by Mcmarty.

"What happend? " he asks staring at Anna.
" Well, she kind of fell and. .." he says twirling is hair a little nervous.
" Fell into what? A reindeer's stall? Come on Anna," he says as he takes her. " Let's get you cleaned up."
"I want chocolate! " she says disappointed.
" You can have chocolate after your bath," he replies ignoring her pouting face.

I giggle as they walk out. John looks down at me always smiling, watching me. " What's so funny hm?" He asks kneeling next to me.
" He said it looked like she fell into a reindeer stall," I say and laugh again. " She did fall into a reindeer stall."
He chuckles a bit. " That is pretty funny huh?"
He says smiling at me. " Come on, let's get cleaned up eh? Then we can all eat our chocolate together. How does that sound?"
" It sounds like a very good plan," I say wanting chocolate as well.
" Good. I'll see you soon then," he says standing up waving and taking off down the hall to his room. I watch him as he leaves waving back after him. I start to make my way to the wash room to clean up.

He is a very weird boy. He likes to be around Anna and myself. He also does not mind being dirty. Also, when Anna fell he did not get upset.
I like that about him. Nothing seems to upset him easily. That means if I do something with my powers by accident, he may not get mad at me.

I make my way to the washroom and get cleaned up. Afterwards I meet up with Anna in our room. I help her put her hair in her usual tiny pigtails with ribbons. She watches as I put my hair into a braid. After we are finished getting ready, I hold Anna's hand to go to the kitchen to meet the weird boy for a chocolate treat.
