It all started with Hailey LaLiberté, Ben Tremblay, Bianca DeMilo, and Todd Leighton. The band of 16-year-old friends were out on a sailing trip to an island near Bora Bora.

The group had gone out sailing in mid-summer after saving for nearly three years. Finally, they got to go on the trip.

It was a new island that had mysteriously popped up all those years ago. Nobody seemed to notice it though, only the four teens ever saw it in the papers or on the news.

They wanted to know why.

"Here it is," Hailey said. "The Island." Hailey was very beautiful with her light reddish-brown hair, almond-shaped brown eyes, and a slight attitude.

"Well, let's go then," Todd said excitedly. Todd Leighton had dark brown/black hair, bright green eyes, and a thirst for adventure. He was a bit of a rebel but never went too far. Most of the time.

"Geez, we still need to reach the shore. Just wait." Bianca said, rolling her eyes and smirking. Her bright blue eyes danced with humour as she pushed away the caramel brown hair that was constantly falling over her face no matter what she did.

"I agree with Bianca, we should wait," Ben said. He wasn't as open as the others, but he loved exploring, so of course, he came. His dirty blond hair was still reasonably neat, despite all the wind. His grey-blue eyes were shimmering with hidden excitement. The boat got close and Ben exclaimed "Wait, stop!"

Hailey stopped the boat as quickly as she could. "Why on earth would we need to stop?!" She yelled at him.

He looked at her with narrowed eyes. "Do you not see the blood on that stone? Or that VERY humanish looking bone!"

"Where?" Bianca asked, looking out over the water. "Oh." She said. Bianca had spotted it. "How did that get there?"

Todd tried for a smile. "Maybe it isn't a human bone," he said, failing at hiding just how nervous he was. "Maybe it's a deer or something."

Hailey looked at Todd. "Yea, th-that works." She said, looking for more unsettling things.

"So are we going or not?" Bianca asked.

"Going," Todd said, at the same time Ben said

"Not going."

Bianca sighed. "Okay, what about you, Hailey?"

Hailey looked at them. "Why me? Why can't you make the decision, Bianca?" She said, re-tying her hair.

Bianca looked at her skeptically. "Because you're coming on this trip too, and you command the boat, Hailey. Now come on, go to the island or turn back?"

Hailey finished off her hair. "You tell us your decision first then I'll decide."

Bianca smiled slightly. "We've been saving for ages," she said. "Besides, this seems like it could be interesting. I say we go. Sorry, Ben."

Ben sighed. "I have a bad feeling about this," he said. "I mean look at this place. There are pine trees. Last time I checked, pine trees don't grow on Pacific islands."

"Which is why we need to check it out!" Todd said. "Come on, Hailey! Say yes! We need to see that island!"

Bianca snickered. "Calm down, Todd," she said.

"I am calm,"

"Sure you are."

"Anyway," Ben cut in, trying not to laugh. "What's your choice?" The three others looked expectantly at Hailey. Hailey gulped. "But, blood... and the bone... but then, the trees, new island... I don't know, sorry guys."
