How am I still alive? It's been four years since my friends and I were stuck on that island.

My name is Bianca DeMilo, and this is my story.

I had originally run off to find my friend, Todd Leighton, who'd gone missing four years ago when we were on that island with our friends Hailey LaLiberté and Ben Tremblay.

I never found him. I was never reunited with my friends.

I ended up at the beach, right where we'd crashed into the island. Over there, a huge tidal wave came in and swept me out into the Pacific.

First a murderous water-horse, now this, I thought disgustedly as i was pulled under the water.

It's a long story. Don't ask.

Anyway, I got swept out, and I managed to grab some driftwood. I was left drifting in the ocean for nearly three days. I had no food, and no water. At first I tried getting back to the island, but the riptide that normally pulls people into the island seemed to push me away this time. Weird.

So I was stuck in the ocean, barely alive, for (like I said) three days.

Yippee.

Finally, an ocean liner found me in the ocean. I wasn't too far away from Bora Bora.

I rested and recuperated, though nobody seemed to believe me when I told them about what had happened on the island. In fact, they didn't even think there was an island there.

Instead, they thought I was a delusional victim from some random cruise ship that had happened to capsize on the same day that I was found. Oh well.

I still have no idea what happened to Hailey or Ben to this day.

Four years later- present.

Todd and I are now experienced pilots, and the two of us decided to fly around the globe together.

Why pilots? Both of us decided to never go anywhere near the ocean if we could help it, and the air is incredibly far away from the water. So it was perfect.

Well, it was until we crashed.

Back on the island.
