Midnight.

Bianca had taken the guard post from Hailey a while ago, it really was a creepy island. Every now and again, she heard a rustling. She didn't notice, but every time it was louder.

Todd got up from the cave and yawned loudly, causing Bianca to jump up and point her spike at him.

Todd, chuckled and said, "Why does everyone think I want them dead?" Bianca rolled her eyes.

"Idiot," she smiled. "What are you doing?"

"Can't sleep," he answered. "Might take a short walk."

"But what about the-"

"I'll be fine, don't worry." Todd said, smiling. "Be back soon, Bianca."

Bianca watched him go. Just before he vanished into the trees, Bianca said. "Todd. Be careful."

Todd looked over his shoulder at her, tossing her a smile. "Don't worry, Bianca."

Bianca settled back into her spot and kept up the watch, calm and relaxed. It had been a while since Todd had left, but Bianca wasn't too worried. She looked at her watch, time to switch with Ben.

Bianca walked into the cave and shook Ben awake. "Your turn," she said.

Ben yawned. "Okay," he said. Ben walked off to go on watch, Bianca headed inside to sleep.

Morning.

Ben, Hailey, and Bianca all ate some left over katniss roots for breakfast. Where's Todd? Bianca thought.

"So," Hailey said. "What happened to you? Todd said something about murderous water-horses?"

"Murderous water-horses," Bianca snorted. "That's one way to describe them."

"Well, what happened? Ben said you got dragged into the Pacific. How'd you get back?"

Bianca put down her katniss root. "I got dragged out, and got dumped there for a while. I tried to swim back to the island, and once I could see it again, the riptide thing pulled me over. I searched the whole island, looking for you. Finally, I did find you in the cave."

Ben and Hailey exchanged glances. "Well," Hailey said. "That was short."

Bianca laughed. "Hate to break it to you," she said. "But I'm not Shakespeare, Hailey."

"Oh really, now?" Hailey said jokingly. "I thought you were Mark Twain!"

The pair giggled as Ben stared at them uncomprehendingly. "What the heck?" he said. "How are you two laughing? We're on an island that wants to kill us, and our friend is missing!"

That shut the girls up, but not before Hailey muttered "Buzzkill" and smiled lightly to Bianca. Bianca didn't smile back and looked at Ben.

"What do you mean, missing?" She said, not even trying to hide the amount of worry in her voice.

Ben looked at her. "I thought you knew that Todd hadn't come back yet, didn't you?"

Bianca shook her head, her eyes huge. Hailey looked at the two and jumped up.

"What are we waiting for, we need to find him!"

"And if it's like two days ago all over again?" Ben asked. "We all got split up and nearly died. In fact, one of us did die."

Hailey rolled her eyes at Ben. "But I'm alive now, aren't I?"

"Only because of the bird poop," Ben returned.
