Willow's POV

I wake up to my annoying alarm blaring and telling me it's time for my early morning lecture. I sigh and drag myself out of bed. I've been in college for 6 months now and it's gotten no easier to get used to the times of my different classes. They tend to be inconsistent and strange. Unfortunately the people I hoped to get away from followed me here, it sucked. I hopped to get a fresh start but of course I couldn't. I hear my mother downstairs snoring, I sigh. She couldn't even make it to her room. This was normal in my house. My mother would get wasted and pass out leaving me to handle everything. I always did it just solidified by decision not to move out any time soon. She needed me too much for that.

I drag myself out of bed and get dressed into an outfit I had laid out the night before. It was a simple black jumper, with some purple ish color jeans, I throw my hair up in a bun and put on my normal converse trainers. I put on the necklace my father gave me a few years before he died and my glasses that I only need use while reading but wear all the time to sell my good girl act. Yes, act. It was all an act.

I push myself off my bed and pick up my bag, walking down the stairs to where I see my mothers sleeping body. I sigh and pull a blanket over my mother to keep her warm. I grab an apple from the fruit bowl and leave the house, my college was only a 10 minute walk away so I shoved my headphones in and walked silently as I munched on my apple. All too soon I get to the campus and close my eyes walking in and going straight to my class, not bothering to say 'hi' to anyone. I didn't have any friends and I liked it that way.

I sat at my normal place in the middle of the class and everyone started to pile in, at some point Mr Harvey had walked in too. Once he takes his place at the front of the class I take out my headphones and put my notebooks and text book on the table. He starts talking and explaining the new book we would be studying: Romeo and Juliet, but before he can go into too much detail the door slams open and in walks Oliver Black. He is one of the people I wanted to escape from but failed. My ex best friend. The bad boy of the town. The gang leader of the Blood Cobras. Oliver Black. Of course he's late. I don't even know why he took English but sadly he did.

"Thank you for joining us Mr Black." Mr Harvey sarcastically stated, I rolled my eyes but quickly pulled myself together, hiding my attitude but the anger that Oliver brought out of me made it hard. I wonder if he ever thinks about me. I shake my head, banishing the thought. Of course he doesn't. I put my head down and start writing the plot to Romeo and Juliet, it's just the basics. Soon Mr Harvey is back to writing and I write down as much relevant information as I can.

Soon the bell rings and I start to put my stuff away while everyone filters out. I stand and go leave when I'm stopped by Mr Harvey.

"Willow and Mr Black can you stay behind please?" Mr Harvey calls out, stopping me and Oliver before we can leave. I sigh and turn around, plastering a fake smile on my face and walking to the teachers desk.

"You wanted to see me sir." I innocently smile, sometimes it's scary how well I play the part of being the good girl. Oliver is stood next to me, towering over my small height and I inwardly groan. What could possibly involve both of us?

"I wanted to ask you to tutor Mr Black. He's falling a little behind." Mr Harvey innocently smiles while I wanted to scream, the innocent look on my teachers face did not justify the words he had just said.

"If Oliver is okay with it then of course sir." I smile, playing the good girl perfectly, all while praying he objects. I can't have him in my life. Not again, even for something as small as tutoring.

"That sounds like a great idea sir." Oliver happily says from next to me.

"Great." I force a smile, forcing my words to come out. "When and where?"

"Tonight, my place?" Oliver suggests, a stupid smirk plastered on his face. He was doing this on purpose I was almost certain.

"Perfect. What time?" I question, keeping the fake smile on my face although my right eye was twitching in the way it always did when I was nervous. Why was I so nervous? I didn't want to be nervous.

"3pm?" Oliver suggests, I nod. My fight wasn't until 11pm and my shift at the book store was at 7pm so I should have more then enough time to tutor him and get ready, but I probably wouldn't have time to train with all my homework but I would make it work. I always did.
"Great. It's a date." he smirks before walking away. I almost let out a groan but hold it in. I still had half an hour till my next class so I decide to go to the coffee shop down the road to get started on the homework I had.

Oliver Black's POV

"What took you so long Olz?" Lukus asks, I normally stayed a little behind to make sure Willow was okay but I had never taken so long before. Lukus is my head of tech and security for my gang, I of course was the leader.

"Mr Harvey decided I needed a tutor." I shrug.

"Who'd he ask?" Josh asks. Josh in my head of weapons, he helps me train new people and import and export weapons to and from the country as well as all over the country.

"Willow." I answer, a real smile dancing across my lips.

"As in your ex best friend?" August asks. August in my second in command and one of my best friends. I nod in answer to his question. "Is this gonna be safe?" I pause before answering. He makes a good point, will this be safe? The reason I left her a few years ago was because my life was no longer safe for her. Was it safe now? Hell no. Could I stay away from her any longer? Hell no.

"I'll make sure she's safe." I admit, dedicated to protecting my best friend.

"Okay dude, it's her funeral." Josh teases. I shake my head. No, I will protect her.
