Willow' POV

When I get home it's almost 2 am, I sigh. I had an early morning lecture that started at 8 am. I shake my head, ignoring the lingering exhaustion within my body. I open the my front door, my bag slung over my shoulder. My mother is sat on the sofa when I walk in, wide awake with bloodshot eyes.

"Mum?" I ask, instantly worried about my mothers state.

"Oh honey, I thought they got you too!" My mother cries, rushing over to me. Hugging me, it's one of the only hugs she's given me since my father died. I hug her back and it seems that exhaustion finally gets to her as she crumbles in my arms. I guide her to the sofa and make sure she's safely laying down.

"You thought who got me?" I ask my mothers almost completely asleep body.

"The..." She mumbles the rest so quietly I don't here and then once again she's fast asleep. I sigh and pull a blanket over her body just like I did this morning. I make sure she's warm before going to bed. I wonder who she was talking about, the more I think about it the harder it is to sleep. No matter how tired I am from today's events sleep still refuses to take me.

After a few hours of failing to sleep I give up and decide to do some more school work. I turn on my bedroom light and start working, this happens more often then it should. My sleepless nights, maybe that's why I'm top of my class. I study for hours before my alarm sounds, causing me to jump slightly in fright. I turn it off and jump in the shower. I get dressed, my outfit being the usual innocent clothes and sigh as I put on my reading glasses.

I skip downstairs, my mother still sound asleep. I grab an apple and head to school. I have more then enough time so I make sure to walk slowly. When I get to school I feel someone grab my arm. I fight my instincts and allow them to drag me away, I'm taken into an empty classroom. My eye twitches and I fight my instinctive need to fight. When the classroom door closes I see I've been dragged here by Lukus and Josh is leaning on the teachers desk.

"What are you doing?" I ask them.

"We wanted to apologize for Ollie." Lukus says.

"No." I stop them. "You do not apologize for his actions. I don't care who he is. I will not accept an apology from someone else. Oliver knows this."

"Damn I like her." Josh smiles. "We can keep her right?"

"Josh she's not a possession!" Lukus scolds.

"But I wanna keep her." Josh whines, I roll my eyes at them.

"Can you stop talking about me like I'm not here?" I groan.

"Sorry Willow. What Josh meant to ask is would you like to get a coffee with us sometime?" Lukus corrects his friend.

"And by us you mean?" I question. I couldn't, not if Oliver was going to be there. Maybe I was being childish but I couldn't be around him. I may hate Oliver but Ollie was my best friend and I wanted to keep my memories with him intact.

"Me, Josh and August." Lukus clarifies. I hesitate for a second.

"When?" I give in, surely one coffee wouldn't be too bad. It might be nice to talk to people my own age for once. I loved Carl and his friends but it wasn't the same as socializing with people my own age. But then again Carl has been the only person I have proper conversations with, I wouldn't know how to talk to them. What if I get attached? I shake my head. It's one coffee.

"When does your lecture end?" Josh questions.

"9." I say.

"Well then, if you have no other plans of course, we can all go out to coffee after. We can meet you outside your class." Lukus suggests.
