Ethan's POV:
Ethan took his shirt off as soon as he got inside his room and threw it on the hamper. He then let himself fall freely on the bed with his jeans and socks still on. Laying on his back, he put his two hands under his head. He was so exhausted that he feels like wanting to sleep. He was having a great time with Kirsten's family that he didn't notice the time. He spent couple more hours with them just chatting with the Smith couple about random things and beating Brandon, Kirsten's little brother in a video game. The boy was surprisingly good at playing those video games for his age that he was almost struggling but still he didn't give the boy a chance to win not even a single game. The side of his mouth twitched as he remembered how the boy was fighting with all determination to win and how he ended up pouting in frustration at the end of every game. The boy was so competitive Ethan felt like all his energy were drained!
He turned to his side and his eyes fell on the portrait hanging on his wall. It was his and Emily's picture taken at the Sand Cove Beach. They were sitting on a big rock with the wide sea on the background. Emily was laughing and looking at the camera while he was looking down at her smiling adoringly. It was their 1st year anniversary celebration and the picture just reminded him of how much he loves the girl. How on that one year relationship his world revolved around her. How he loves the way she smiles, she laughs, the way she talks and how he loves everything about her.
He met Emily when he attended a Class Reunion. The girl didn't attend their school but one of her friends brought her along. When he approached her to introduce himself she was aloof at first but the night didn't end without him being able to make her feel comfortable around him. They met again the next morning and a few months after they became a couple officially. They were having such a great time together. And it had always been like that until she started hanging out with Paul. Her childhood friend who recently moved back to Sacramento. The guy would just follow her around like a love sick puppy! They're always together. At school, parties...and them being family friends just didn't make it any better. They're together in every family gatherings and he felt left out. No matter how much Emily tried to convince him that they're just friends, he knew it's something more than that. He's a man too. He knows just by the way that guy looks at her that he likes her. He was like a predator just waiting for the right time to sneak and catch his prey. He must admit he might be over reacting at times but he has the right to be jealous. He is-or was rather- her boyfriend after all! They've already been having too many fights because of him.
That night at the bar was supposed to be the night he's going to patch everything up. They were meeting their friends at the bar. He told her he'd pick her up but she insisted that they meet at the bar instead. An hour had passed but she hasn't shown up yet. She was not returning his calls nor responding to his text messages and he was already starting to get pissed that he didn't notice the presence of a pretty girl trying to get his attention. She was flirting with him and his mood just gotten worse as she said it was part of her and her friend's "little' game. She was hot it was hard not to notice that but still he wasn't on his best mood to play along. He was already about to leave her when he saw Emily entering the bar with that guy following behind her. How can Emily show up with the very same guy that's causing their constant fightings? His blood boiled and he thought he needed to take it out on someone. He needed to get back at Emily and make her feel how mad he was. So he kissed the girl.
He knew he caught her off guard. The kiss meant nothing. It was purely out of outrage. He was beyond pissed. After he turned his back on the girl leaving her hanging and left the bar through the back door he never knew where Emily and the guy had left or if they even stayed at the bar. He just learned the next morning that they were officially dating. Just when he was about to explain and apologize to her.
He almost found it hard to accept. He loves her so much. But he knew it would not make things better if he push her to comeback to him. He has to find another way. And that's when Kirsten, the girl he kissed at the bar, came in to the picture. He knew his idea is ridiculous but he somehow has to try something one way or another. He was surprised that she accepted the deal. Maybe she really likes that Xander guy that much that she is just as desperate as him. They didn't get along really well at first. The girl can be so feisty sometimes! But he can live with it. After all they have the same goal. They would help each other out on getting the persons they love!
AUTHOR's NOTE: This is to give you an insight of how much Ethan loves Emily. Because I wanna point out that he is madly in love with her! Anyway, I hope you liked this one! Picture on the right is of Diana Agron as Emily.
