Chapter 6

Chapter Six

After discovering that my mother was no where to be found, I had no where to go. All my family was in Kansas so I have been stay with Ella and her family. It was Just the thought that my mothers been missing for over three days has been really hard. I hope it wasn't something I said that made her run away. I don't know what I would do without my mom, no matter how many rude things she can say.

The cops are trying their best to find her, they said just to stay calm and not try to over worry. Lucas and Ella have been spending a lot of time with me, trying to calm me down. Their family was great. So big and so happy. They never argued and I thought of how nice it must have been.

"Zoe, wanna come sit outside me with?" Lucas asked holding two cups of his famous coffee. "How could I pass up a good cup of coffee." I said walking toward him and taking the cup. "And a chance to talk to you." I winked and instantly regretted it as I walked off. He followed behind me and then showed me the spot he wanted me to sit in. The sun was just barely sitting but it was just so beautiful and bright. Their backyard overviews mountains and the picture perfect sunset viewing spots.

"I love watching the sun sit." I said and glanced over at it again. "I've always tried to get Brooke out here just to sit with me, but she never would. She said it would cause her allergies to act up." I rolled my eyes at his sentence, not because it involved Brooke but because she passed up this amazing view, with an amaizng guy.. and you can't forget this amazing cup of coffee. "I don't see how she could." I stated starring into his hazel eyes. "Maybe it's me, maybe she didn't want to spend time with me." He said starring back at me. "She's crazy if she wouldn't want to spend time with you. You are an amazing guy and you deserve so much." I said taking a sip of my coffee.

"Your something else Zoe Lancaster." He smiled. "Bad or good thing?" I joked hoping he'd say good. "Most definitely good." he winked.

"Im scared luke." I said looking back out at the sunset. "Im scared for you, Zoe" His answer shocked me because I didn't know he was scared of anything. "What are you scared of Luke?" I asked finishing up my coffee.

"Mostly clowns to be honest." he chuckled at his answer and so did I. "No seriously what are are you scared of? What frightens you the most?" I asked hoping he'd answer forreal this time. "I've honestly always been scared of not being good enough." And finally we have a real answer from Mr. Lucas Scott. I asked him a few more question and within those few questions I learned what type of person Lucas was. He was a sensitive, caring guy and deserves more than he think he does.

"What scares you Zoe?" He asked. It didn't take me much time to think because a lot of things scared me. I've always been a scared person. "To be honest, everything scares me a little bit." I laid my body onto the grass, to get a better view of the sunset. "Do I scare you?" Luke asked as he laid beside me. "No." I settle with a short "no" as an answer hoping the subject would change.

"This doesn't scare you?" He said moving closer to me, inches away from my face. "No." I said and looked into his eyes.

"What about this?" He said placing his lips onto mine. Our lips moved in sync for a full ten seconds. "Did that scare you?" He said releasing his lips from mine. "A little bit." I said smirking, hoping for more. "What about-" he started to say as I grabbed his shirt collar of his Muscle - Tee and placed his lips onto mine once again. I placed our bodies ontop of one another, neither of us wanting to let go.

"Did that scare you?" Instead of him asking me, if he scared me I took the chance too. "Frightened the hell out of me." He chuckled and kissed me again.

"Brooke." I said, puking as the words left my mouth. "What?" He asked confused to why I said her name. "Your girlfriend." I said frowning. "Don't worry about her, I broke up with her." He smiled causing a smile to escape from my mouth. I couldn't help but kiss him so I did.

We ended up laying there, together cuddled up to one another until midnight. It got chilly so he got us a blanket to wrap our bodies up in. I smiled because even though my mother was missing, I had people to help me through it.

It's all gonna be okay, for once.
