General Questions

When did you start writing?

At the age of Eleven during my primary school days, I was more of a poet than a writer. Writing endless poems at the back of my books was my great escape to another universe. I quickly became more attached to books, all genres. I joined the parish library, reading up to four books a day, both poetry and stories. On many rainy days, books have been my best friends and new adventures throughout the years.

In high school, I took a great liking to Shakespeare and that was when I fell in love with Novels. With my favourites: Merchant of Venice and Mcbeth. It was hard to keep away from the library once school was over. I remember the first story I wrote, in my book. It was called "Dark Princess and Black Thorns" even the principal was captivated by my poems and story. "The Novelist girl" my classmates would call me and so, naturally, I wanted to start writing stories.

Graduating from high school, I dropped everything, because of unfortunate circumstances, I had a mental breakdown. I didn't touch or read, or even attempt to write anything. Depression got a hold of me. And then one day, sitting, staring back at the old Shakespeare book that was sitting on the shelf. It was something of a Euphoric moment. As if I'd lost a part of myself. And then? I began reading, I almost forgot the peace it gave me. Until five years ago. I joined Wattpad and I never regretted it!

What is your favourite and least favourite thing about writing?

Whew! Good question. *laughs* my favourite thing about writing is that you can create your world, whomever, wherever, whatever. It brings me joy, like making my movie and adventure.

My least favourite thing about writing is, because of my personality, I hate cliche. So I'd procrastinate in the middle of a paragraph because it seems a bit too cliche and also because I'm a perfectionist at times. It takes time, and major patience too.
