"Is it supposed to be this tight?!" Dot gasped, her waist being squeezed like a nearly empty tube of toothpaste.
"It's what the book says." Yakko said, tightening the strings of Dot's dress.
"It's not like we've got anything else to go on..." He muttered under his breath. Dot pretended she didn't hear Yakko's remark, and tried taking another deep breath.
"Books can be wrong ya know. Books used to say the Earth was flat!" Wakko watched the scene unfold, snacking on cookies from the kitchen.
"But we all know the Earth is in the shape of a giant chicken!!"
"Uhhhhhhh, yeah, a giant chicken. Let's go with that!"
Yakko finally tied the strings of Dot's dress together in a small bow.
"You're all set, sib sister!"
Dot gave her new dress a twirl, satisfied with how the skirts flowered out. The dress itself was a vibrant shade of pink, accented with yellow and the occasional green. Wearing the dress she felt like a princess. It wasn't until she looked at herself in the mirror, that she remembered that she was a princess now.

It had been almost 3 months since the Warner siblings had reached the wishing star, and soon after discovering they were the rightful rulers of Warnerstock. The events of those few days had been named by the residents of Warnerstock, sometimes "The Great Star of 99", "Salazar's Downfall", "The Reclaiming of Warnerstock", or simply "Wakko's Wish". Since then, the formerly homeless Warners had been swept away into the castle that used to belong to their parents.  So much had happened in that time that Dot barely had any time to process it. It didn't help that her brothers had been hovering over her about her health. It was known by quite a few about Dot's miraculous recovery from her sickness. Frankly, she didn't want to talk, or even think about it.
"Wakko, where's your crown?" She asked, noticing Wakko was still wearing his trademark red cap.
"Do I have to wear it?" Wakko whined, his hands going to his hat in an effort to protect it. "It doesn't feel right."
Dot understood. It was still so strange, having to get used to wearing all these ornate dresses and crowns, not that she wasn't thankful...she was just slightly uncomfortable.
"Sorry bud, we gotta wear it." Yakko said, picking up the crown. He looked at it, then at Wakko, then simply placed the crown on top of Wakko's hat.
"There! Convenient for us we'll be on a balcony! Nobody's gonna see you're sporting two hats!"

"Your highnesses, it's time for you to address the people."
"If you don't, how will the people know how to get to your castle! NARF!"
Called the Prime Minister, Brain; then his personal assistant and royal stablemouse, Pinky. The two were inseparable, despite being nothing alike. Dot couldn't help but admire their strange partnership.
"You two ready?" Yakko quietly asked. Wakko hopped down from his seat, brushed the cookie crumbs off his baby blue suit, and nodded. Dot took a deep breath, then nodded. They opened the door together, the Prime Minister and the stablemouse on the other side.
"Good. We mustn't keep the public waiting." Brain commented, walking ahead of the royalty. Pinky stayed behind for a moment, approaching Dot's dress to play with the skirt's fabric.
"Your dress is bea-utiful, your highness!" He wrapped some of the fabric around his shoulders, like a big pink blanket.
"Oh! Thank you, Pinky!" Dot replied, squatting to give the mouse a little pat on the head.
"A-HEM! A kingdom, awaiting your presence, your highnesses!" Brain yelled.
"Hey, you better watch how you talk to your superiors, Brainiac!" Yakko pulled up Dot, and the three of them (plus Pinky) were finally approaching the balcony.
"Yeah, we could have you beheaded for treason!" Wakko joked around, resisting the urge to jump around on account of the crown on his head.

When they finally stepped onto the balcony, they became uncharacteristically quiet. Somehow, this moment finally felt surreal. Dot could feel it. It wasn't like their coronation, that felt new and exciting. But this moment, it finally marked them stepping into real responsibility. They were real royalty. She couldn't deny it, it was pretty daunting. After the disaster of Salazar's rule, they had to rebuild. Try to establish something great, like their parents.
Their parents. Dot didn't really remember her parents, only the story that Yakko told her every night, all those years they were alone. Some part of her hoped that she could have known them better. And now she hoped that she was making them proud, by stepping up with her brothers to rule their kingdom.
"Citizens of Warnerstock! I present: Prince Yakko Warner, Prince Wakko Warner, and Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francessca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the Third...Warner." Brain's monotone voice shocked Dot out of her thoughts.
She quickly wondered how such a small creature could project such a loud voice.
"BUT YOU COULD CALL ME DOT!" She added.
She glanced at her brothers, Yakko soaking up every second of the people's applause, Wakko staring curiously off the side of the balcony, probably trying to count everyone there.
