Elizabeth stands there frozen, her whole body iced, the blood coursing through her veins seems to stiffen, her heart no longer beating, her lungs seize up and shrivel. Her body looks so calm compared to her tangled mind. Her mind is an utter abyss, a maze with no way out. The room is silent yet to Elizabeth it is so loud. She doesn't seem to notice as hot, bitter tears flow down her cheeks dripping endlessly from her chin. It is a strange sight to see a stone-faced girl, her face lacking any sort of expression or emotion, yet tears fall shamelessly down her face. William takes a step forward making the only sound in this excruciatingly painful, silent room, this seems to break her out of her hypnosis, as her face crumples, signifying that it has just hit her, the overwhelming truth. Letting out a heaving breath she picks up her satin red dress and dashes out of the ballroom weeping, all that can be seen is a red streak. The letter still in her shaking hand, she makes her way to her room trying to stifle her staggering breaths of air, her breaths were huge but they didn't seem to be enough. She gasped for air when she finally got to her destination forming a ball on the floor still trying to get at least one satisfying bit of oxygen. William's face was a mix of concern, confusion, and worry, without a second thought he ran after her.
"Darling what is it?" He follows Elizabeth into her room, only to see her chest rising and falling frantically as her hands cover her face. He makes a move to go over to her to touch her, hug her and give her any sort of comfort. Her face snaps up to reveal the same pained expression as she had before the party. But this time instead of the sad eyes, they had anger, passion, blaze, and...fear?
"William, I swear to God stay the bloody hell away from me." Elizabeth in one motion stood up and backed away
.."Why?" William stood on the other side of the room, obeying her command.
"You are on this stupid piece of paper, along with Prince Charles, so I don't trust you" Elizabeth sobbed, each word dripping with venom. She longed to be pulled into William's chest like before, but it was too dangerous, she didn't know if his mind was a messed up murderous one, she didn't know if all the stolen glances, that seemed to have love, care, and marvel behind them were all a show, a front for what was deep inside. William looked hurt and taken aback.
"Lizzie I could never hurt you, you're my best friend," William took a step towards Elizabeth, peering unyieldingly into her fiery green eyes.
"William I said to stay the fuck back," Elizabeth steps back, again but doesn't break the eye contact. 'Tis as if there is a silent war going on the ocean versus nature, but not any sort of calm nature, a nature that burns with passion, a nature that's eyes are so filled with anger, it is nearly impossible to see the beautiful green lying beyond it. The ocean seems calm but washed out. It is hurt deep inside but far beyond the blue lies concern. William runs his hands through his hair. His face suddenly snapped up and he looked back into Elizabeth's eyes, which still had the fire. His tone was loud, aggressive yet somehow subtle at the same time, overall it was remarkably un-William-like.
"Fuck! Listen, this morning when we were dancing around and I saw your fuckin beautiful contagious smile, and then running through the halls while your laughing in the goddamn addictive way that you do, I'm losing my shit trying to not let the three words that could break our relationship forever escape my mouth. You're my best fuckin friend, you're too good to be true. Every time I am around you, your intoxicating scent fills my every breath, and every smell I take and I go insane trying not to fuckin lose it right there on the spot, break down and tell you the words. You wanna know what three words? I love you...I fuckin love you, I have for such a long time, how could I not? You are my everything. Everything. All of my childhood memories are surrounded by you, your addictive laugh, your stunning smile, all my dreams are plagued by you. You are everything bloody fuckin hell, " Each step he took closer until he was so close she could feel his warm breath on her skin, sending shivers throughout her body, he was so close, he was so close she could move ever so slightly up and their lips would be intertwined. A tear dropped onto her pale cheek, mixing with one breaking free from her watery eyelid, as she looked up to see the streak of a tear leading from William's eye.
"How do I know you aren't lying? You know you have a chance right now to kill me no one is watching" Elizabeth's irises narrowed as she looked at him, hissing basically challenging him to answer.
"Because would your assassin do this?" William leaned down and their lips crashed together, his tongue intertwined with hers, and Elizabeth's worries danced out of the open balcony window. He dropped to his knees and suddenly stood up pulling her with him, one arm was wrapped around her waist the other cupped her face like before. She was lost in him and he in her. Elizabeth's lips felt every part of his soft, sweet lips. Her heart fluttered as he put his hand on her head and pulled her in deeper. The heat of his breath felt warm on her lips as he kissed her. Sparks flew. His lips had a faint taste of strawberry. Her hand lost itself in his hair, the scent of his cologne stronger than ever, overpowering even, she didn't want to pull away. Nature's eyes seemed to calm down, and all was left was passion, not for anger but rather for love. Ocean's eyes seemed to be the same peaceful calm but now had a burning power matching nature's.
The kiss lasted for a minute, but it seemed like a lifetime and Elizabeth pulled back her cheeks slightly tainted red. She looked into the blue void, and it was clear and readable as ever, he wanted her, and only her, he loved her.
"No my assassin wouldn't," Elizabeth initiated the kiss as she cupped his face in both her hands and pulled him into her, she slightly angled her face so their noses wouldn't hit. The room faded away and it seemed for a moment that they were in a meadow, worries gone, the only thing that mattered to Elizabeth was William, to William Elizabeth, and their only worry and need was enough air as they didn't break this fiery kiss, that seemed to only emerge from their soul. This feeling could only be described as utter bliss.
