Elizabeth sat up so fast swinging her upper body forward as she panted. Her brow glistening with sweat, her eyes widened in what seemed to be fear. Her panting mouth in the shape of a small O. Her usually soft and pink lips were chapped and white. Her hair looked disheveled. William flipped over onto his side next to her, his arm flopping over Elizabeth's waist.. Or trying too, all he felt was her feet. William picked his head up quickly. He turned to see a mask of white covering Elizabeth's face as her eyes were fixed into a spot in the dark room, there was nothing in that particular spot, but she looked horrific, not blinking with her eyes creating a glossy effect.

"Hey," William said in a groggy voice trying to rub the sleep from his eyes but it was persistent.

"Go back to bed Elizabeth," William was about to turn around and fall back into a sweet, sweet sleep. The deafening silence broke as Elizabeth croaked out words.

"He killed me, I couldn't see his face," A tear broke free and ran down her face caressing her lips as it passed.

"Elizabeth, I am right here," William gently placed her shaking palm into his larger one and pressed his lips to it as tenderly as he could manage.

Elizabeth couldn't help but let a small smile fall over her face. "Ok, thanks Will"

The last of the tears fell out of her eyes and she lied down cuddling into William's bare chest. He wrapped his strong hands around her tenderly and pulled her on top of him.

"Anytime sweet," they just lay there for a bit. William played with her hair and her listening to his steady, reassuring heartbeat. That was until Elizabeth fell asleep. Suddenly, William's light features flashed with heartache and pain. He hated it so goddamn much to see her in pain. Being so scared. With no warning, a single tear fell from his eye and stained the pillow, and this time instead of sleepful comfort overwhelming him, it was anger, fear, and sorrow.
