Alexa's Point of View

As Hamzah's car drove away, following his mom's, my eyes followed his car. I so badly wanted to chase after him, reach my arms out, and scream, begging him to stay. I let out a deep sigh as I started walking towards my house.

"Where are you going?" Aaron's voice rung in my ears.

"Home," I shrugged. "I guess.. I don't know."

Aaron walked over, pulling me into yet another tight embrace.

"He'll visit," Aaron reassured me.

"I know, I just-"

"You just what?" Aaron asked.

"I just.. don't know?" I said as I pulled away from the hug. "This is all so confusing."

"Alright well, I'm here if you need me," Aaron said as he stepped back and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Do you wanna come inside?" I asked him.

I watched his facial expression as I asked. His eyebrows slightly raised, but I could tell he was trying hard not to look surprised, "Sure." He played it cool.

"Where you two going?" Claire chimed in.

"My house. You guys are more than welcome to come," I grinned.

Claire's face lit up, "Sure I-"

"No I think we'll pass," Chase said loudly over Claire as he put his hands on her shoulders. "Right Haley?"

"Yeah," She sniffled and wiped her eyes.

"Haley," I said pulling her into a hug. "We will be fine."

"You don't even believe that," She muttered under her breath.

"We are going through this together," I said holding her close.

"No we aren't," She sighed pulling apart.

"I feel so shitty feeling bad for myself. I know you must be feeling worse than me," She said.

"Don't belittle or disregard your feelings that you're entitled to," I said to her. "We got this. Okay? You sure you don't want to hang out with Aaron and I."

"Yeah," She sniffled and smiled. "You guys deserve this alone time. Definitely." She winked at me.

I rolled my eyes, "Talk to you later?"

"Of course," She said as I hugged her one last time.

"Bye Chase," I smiled and waved. "Bye Claire."

I walked towards Aaron who smiled, "Ready?" I asked.

He nodded his head as we started walking towards the front door.

"The front door?" Aaron asked whilst he raised an eyebrow.

"Yes," I answered as I opened the door. "The front door."

He closed the door behind him and we began making my way to my room.

"Alexa," My mom slurred as she stumbled down the stairs.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, "What?"

"Who's this boy?" She asked pointing a finger at Aaron.

"My friend. Now go back to sleep," I said pushing Aaron towards my room.

"So you're just going to have boys in my house? What would your dad think?"

"It's none of my father's business," I said crossing my arms. "He isn't so noble himself."
