Alexa's Point of View

Everyone was laughing and joking around. But I just sat next to Ben awkwardly, waiting for Aaron to come back. Aaron and I were finally starting to do good again, why was everything so.. toxic.

At that thought, he walked back into the living room through the opened doorway, "Aaron!" Cheered Ben.

Aaron awkwardly laughed and sat down.

"Who was it?" I asked causally.

He shook his head and shrugged, "Nobody."

I was so bothered. I just wanted to kick and scream. Who was Rosalie?

"Can I talk to you?" I asked Aaron.

"Of course," He said. "Privately?" I nodded my head.

He stood up and walked out of the living room with me following close behind, "What's up?" He asked.

"The past week where we didn't talk. Did you.. see anybody?" I asked awkwardly.

He kinda just stared at me and didn't answer at first before finally saying, "Yeah."

Then I remembered our phone call that one night, where he seemed in a rush to get off of the phone. Sure it was in the middle of the night and he was tired, but he must've been with somebody.

"Who?" I asked.

"I don't know," He shrugged.

"Seriously?" I tilted my head and crossed my arms against my chest.

He let out a sigh, "It doesn't matter who."

"Rosalie?" I asked.

"Who's Rosalie?" He asked. "I don't know a Rosalie."

"What do you mean? I thought it was someone named Rosalie."

"I don't know where you heard that from. But I have never met a Rosalie before."

"Then who?" I asked.

"Ryleigh," He sighed.

"Oh," I said.

Ben must've thought that Ryleigh's name was Rosalie. The two are similar and he is drunk. So now it makes sense.

"Ryleigh?" I asked. "Did you ever even stop talking her?"

"I stopped seeing her," Aaron said.

"Why didn't you stop talking to her?" I asked.

"Why did you kiss Hamzah?" He asked.

"I don't even remember it happening! I was so drunk! I don't even think I was the one that initiated the kiss," I said throwing my hands in the air. "But you were completely sober while you talked to Ryleigh behind my back. Even after the whole diner incident! How can you condone that as my boyfriend?"

"But I'm not," He said putting his hands in his pockets.

"Huh?" I asked.

"I'm not your boyfriend," He shrugged.

"But you-" I couldn't even find the words. "So we can sleep together and skip school to go to Sacramento and do all stupid cheesy couple things. But you don't want to be my boyfriend because you don't want to commit. I see." I turned around and began to walk away.

"Alexa wait," He sighed. "That's not what I meant."

"Then what did you mean?" I asked upset.

"I mean. We were never official, y'know?" He asked.
