It Just Goes on Forever.

Kyle prepared breakfast that morning for Aura and the others, though it wasn't much. He was down, he just lost his friend to a complete stranger. How could he let this happen? Boris trusted Kyle enough to take care of him. Boris is only a kid. But why should I be responsible, Kyle thought, I take care of him all the time and get him everything he needs. What do I do that makes him uncomfortable? Do I say things that make him feel off? Do I not give him everything he wants? What makes him so mad that he decides to go off with a bastard like him?  He had it all wrong. Think loser, when am I not there for him? Something in his head clicked, and he already knew the answer. "Nighttime." He blurted out loud. "I always leave him during nighttime." Kyle felt stupid. He lost his only real friend because of something he couldn't show Boris. He had to keep it a secret from him. Boris wasn't old enough to know about it yet.

He set the plates of food on the table and called everyone down for breakfast. His dull eyes never made contact, not even with Aura. Aura was confused by this. "Kyle, you're acting strange, are you okay?" Aura tried to comfort him. Kyle put on a fake smile, "Yeah I'm fine, but enough about me, have breakfast." Aura glanced back at him, she knew what he was thinking. "Kyle, don't go looking for him. He's already gone, he doesn't want to see you." These words pierced Kyle like a sword. "What do you mean? I don't care if he doesn't want to see me I need to talk to him and apologize-" "You did nothing wrong, Kyle. He was the one that was making it all about himself as you said. If he wants to be like that then he doesn't deserve an apology from you." Kyle felt as if Aura didn't want them to make up, and he was right. "Fine, I'll stay here." Kyle gave up, all hope of his was lost.

Boris was organizing and placing things on display for when a customer would pop up and ask for help, and Tall Man was right behind helping him. Boris was also depressed. He didn't mean to snap at Kyle, he never intended to do that. But on the other hand, he felt as if he was right to do that. "Was it really necessary for me to say that, Tall? What if he thinks bad of me and never wants to see me again?" Boris said out of the blue. But those words still lingered in his head, Boris you're being self-centered! Stop thinking about yourself for once and let me have some time for myself. "Am I really that near-minded, Tall? Should I be more considerate to others?" Boris asked once again, this time waiting for a reply. "You're living your own life, you do what's best for yourself." Tall made a great point. It is my life, I  live how I want to. but does that make me less of a good person if I only live by what I want?  Should I try and help others too, and do what's best for them and for me? What's the right answer? What do I do? All these questions ran through his head, he couldn't decide what to do. "Give it some tome Boris, think it over." Tall Man said. "Okay, I will."

The rest of the day played out awkwardly. Those days turned into weeks. Boris slowly washed Kyle to the back of his brain to focus on improving his own life and spending time with Tall Man. He enjoyed his new life without Kyle holding him back. Kyle always pulled him away from danger, so he was really secluded to just walking and talking. Tall Man allowed him to do stuff that Kyle wouldn't let him, the only rule was to be careful. But as Boris became happier, Kyle was not.

Kyle didn't know what to do. He wasn't allowed outside, nor allowed to speak about Boris. HE felt like he was trapped, and he was. Aura would be awfully protective of him, even around her friends that showed no interest in him. I want to get out of here, I have to get out of here, I need to get out of here. During the night, Kyle slipped out of bed to the front door. The door was tiny, and you had to shove yourself through the narrow gap to go out. He ducked down and started to squeeze out. He could barely see anything until, BOOM. The lights turned on, and everyone was staring directly at him, deciding his punishment.

And they would show no mercy.

AUTHORS NOTE~

Hello again :) I hope you liked the new part! It took me all day to do cause I started in the morning then was out and about for 6 hours. Anyways, things are starting to get good. I needed to get more of the backstory out of the way before I could finally write what actually happens. Also, this won't be a long series. I'm thinking of writing maybe 3 or more parts before I finish the book. It's obviously not a serious book. Anyways, have a great day :)
