He could never forget it. That night. . .it haunted him for the rest of his life. The night sky was darker than usual, the loud screams and cried reverberated around the walls of his home. His heart rate showed no signsofslowingdown; his entire body wasshaking-trapped between a wall and his eldest brother, Touya Todoroki.
". . .W-why are you d-doing this Touya?" The young version of Shoto cried out, fat tears escaping from barricade under his eyes. "W-why are you t-trying to h-hurt me?"
His little voice cracked as he continued to wail. He couldn't understand why Touya wanted to hurt him, he was his eldest brother. . .he swore to protect him from their father-he swore to protect all of them. So why is he going back on his word? The boy was too young to understand why
Touya breathed in sharply, his hands were shaking. . .he didn'twanttohurt his little brother but he had no choice. The boy tightened hisgripagainst the handle of the piping hot kettle. His voice wavered slightly as he began to speak
"Stop whining Shoto, it's annoying" He let a smirk form on his lips, then it suddenly happened. The boiling liquid from the metal utensil came pouring down on Shoto's face.
An agonizing scream erupted from the boy, filling his own ears and everyone else that resided in the household-perhaps even the neighbors heard. His tiny hand immediately reached to hold the wounded area on his face, he was in so much pain; it burned, it stung he had never felt anything like it.
