"Breakfast" The person guarding her announced as he handed over some cooked meat in a clay bowl and a jar of water.

"I'm not hungry" Kaoru responded as she pushed the food away, earning her a scowl from the large male. In return, she let out a scoff and turned her back at him.

"Yuzuriha-chan and Taiju-chan were the ones who brought it" A smooth voice spoke, his tone all too familiar. "Are you on a diet perhaps Kaoru-chan?"

She looked back at her visitor, her face frowned unhappily seeing him. "What do you want Asagiri Gen? Does Tsukasa want to talk to me again?"

"Let me talk to her privately, Yo-chan says he wants to see you," Gen said to the guard making him leave. Once they're the only ones left, a grin crept on his face. The girl was quick to notice this, her eyes narrowed at him- giving him a sharp glare.

"It's damn early in the morning to go on ruining my day" Kaoru grumbled as she flicked a few pebbles at him.

"I suppose you're not a morning person, are you Kaoru-chan?" Gen noted.

"Cut me the small talk Gen" Kaoru snarled. "If you're here to pester me then congrats, you're doing a great job at it."

"I understand where all if this rage is coming from," He said in a low voice. "Senku-chan must be that important to you, isn't he."

Kaoru's brows twitch, "Out of all the topics you chose to bring up it had to be about him." She shrugged as she pulled over her hood and turned her back at the mentalist. The news about his passing still affected her- it was just only yesterday, of course, she still hasn't recovered about it. As much as she wanted to cry and mourn, she had no plans on showing her tears to strangers she's only met.

"You must have been crying all night" Gen pointed out. "To see such a pretty face in tears-"

Kaoru clicked her tongue. "Why don't you bother Prince Tarzan and just let me mourn by myself?"

"Prince Tarzan? Oh you mean Tsukasa-chan" Gen lightly chuckled. "What a funny nickname you have for him Kaoru-chan."

The girl let out a scoff and rolled her eyes as he continued on talking. "Speaking of Tsukasa-chan, he actually sent me to do something."

"If it's pestering me, you've already accomplished that."

Gen shook his head, "I'm afraid it isn't that Dear Kaoru." His mouth widened into a grin and eyes peering at her with what Kaoru could identify as malice. "You see my dear Kaoru, Tsukasa-chan has been having doubts if he truly killed Senku-chan"

Her eyes widened at what he said. Seeing how attentive she became all of a sudden amused him. Having a wide smirk on his face, he continued. "He now wants me to village nearby village and see if Senku-chan might be there making his kingdom of science."

Kaoru rose a brow- confused at Tsukasa's request and this supposed village. "Why is he having doubts about killing Senku? And what do you mean by Village? How come there's a village? I thought this Empire of Tsukasa's was the only place filled with revived people."

"Seems like descendants of people we don't know in the past..." Gen could only respond one by one. "Anyhow, Tsukasa-chan wants me to go see if it's just an ordinary village... or if your dear Senku-chan is there hiding, seeing as Tsukasa had never really found his dead body."

For some reason, a heavy feeling in her chest disappeared hearing his words. 'Tsukasa never found his body? It could mean... Senku must've faked his death or-' Her thoughts were about to darken until she recalled a certain conversation she had before with the scientist.
