Micha's POV
Turning 18 has its flaws but finally having the opportunity to branch out into the world and step out of my comfort zone is definitely a win-win situation but unfortunately I'm still 16. You see my parents, like all parents, are really protective and with me being the only child sort of increased the protectiveness but I guess it gave them peace of mind knowing I was safe in their care, even with them having to travel for work all the time.
Walking into the living room, I lean on the door frame, seeing mom cuddling into dad's side on the couch, it's an adorable sight, I wish to have what they have one day, their love is so pure that it's honestly disturbing at times but I'm happy they are happy. I just wish they had given me siblings, I love being the only child at times but it does get tiring not having someone to talk to.
With a smile I walk towards the love seat and sit down, "Hey mama, hey papa. I need to talk to you about something." "Hey baby," they say turning their attention to me. "What's going on?" mama asks with a concerned smile.
"Nothing bad," I say letting out a nervous laugh. "You know how I'm a year ahead in terms of school , I was thinking how about for my senior year ...I umm, could I actually go to an actual school instead of being homeschooled, I could go to Forks High, I promise I'll work my butt off, please mama."
"Micha," papa sighed out. "I thought we had spoken about this already." Running his hands through his hair.
"I know we have but it'll be such a good opportunity to meet people before I have to leave for college, please," I pleaded.
"Daniel," mama started. "She's growing up we can't keep her away from the world anymore, lets let her have this, it's just high school. What's the worst that could happen?" She said looking papa in the eyes while holding his hand.
"Okay, fine," papa said looking at me with a small smile "My little girl is growing up, what's the worst that could happen..."
Jumping off the love seat, I tackle them both with a loud squeal. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Guess who's going to high school!
