I didn't know what song to pick for this chapter so I just shuffled my playlist and this played first so here you go :)
Three months later
One earbud in my ear playing End of the Day by One Direction, I open the door to the studio and step inside. I look at the watch on my hand. 10:00. Things were absolutely perfect. Every morning, I woke up, fed Jeremiah, grabbed breakfast at Starbucks, then walked out the studio. I always got to the studio at 10:00 to write and record with Louis. He was more that just my boss. He helped me write, spent every free second he had hanging out with me at the studio, he was one of my best friends. It had been 3 months since our first meeting at a little Italian cafe. I managed to hide my One Direction obsession while befriending Louis Tomlinson. I was kind of amazing. Everyday, I worked from 10 to noon, ate lunch, then worked from 1 to 4:30. This was the exact lifestyle I wanted. It was almost too good to be true, but I've never had a dream that lasted 3 months, so I know this is real. I closed the door behind me and stood in the lobby. I said hello to Matt, the security guard, and Jenny, the receptionist. I got out my keys and opened up my room in the studio. In my room, I had a big, cozy black couch that I have spent many afternoons eating Chinese food and writing with Louis, a mini fridge that was always stocked with snacks and drinks, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, and a piano. Also, lots of binders, notebooks and pencils. I always kept everything organized and tidy, just by choice. I always kept everything I could clean, out of habit. I had decorated the room with tiny plants and fairy lights, as well as posters of country stars and pictures of my family. This little room was my second home, other than my adorable and expensive apartment. I hang up my purse and open up a Dr. Pepper, flopping down on my couch, opening up a light pink binder to the most recent piece I've been working on.
This kinda vibe in her room
Staring at the paper, my mind starts to wander. I have more that 500k followers on Instagram. When you googled Louis, I came up right behind the boys. People asked me for selfies on the street, I had 3 singles out. Sometimes, I hear them at the store or in the car. This is what I wanted. While I was waiting at the doctors office, I saw myself in a tabloid magazine right after hearing my song in a commercial. This was what I had been working for my whole life. I pick up a pencil, writing a few lyrics that came to mind while I was sitting and thinking. I hear a knock on the door to my room.
"Go away!" I shout, inviting him in. It's a long story.
Louis walks in, grabbing a can of sprite out of my fridge and sitting down next to me.
"Long time no see," he says, possibly referring to the fact that he was walking out of Starbucks while I was walking in. I chuckle, sipping my drink. "Are you busy tonight?"
"No," I say, standing up to grab my acoustic off of its hook on the wall.
"We're all going to dinner at Faith and Flower. Nothing Fancy. You should come."
